I'm not getting ahead of myself unfortunately, for some daft reason they're doing this after the Preston-Villa game on BBC, approximately 15:45 (BST).

Ball numbers
1 Crystal Palace
2. Preston North End or Aston Villa
3. AFC Bournemouth or Manchester City
4. Nottingham Forest

Not convinced we're getting past Bournemouth but I'll keep an eye on this just in case.

It's kind of hard to look at that list to be honest. In any other season we'd be expecting that trophy to come to us, but given the injuries and form currently I think we've seen we would struggle to beat any of them.

But, if it clicks....

At least there is a pleasing absence of Liverpool, Arsenal and the scumbags.

Weirdly, I think I'd probably relish a trip to wembley this season more than the past few, save the derby final. Wonder if it's the jeopardy factor, or just some positive vibes in an otherwise mostly forgettable season?

I think its the absence of any knobhead teams. If we reach the final, like you I'm not overly optimistic, I should imagine there'd be a good party atmosphere without the edge of any trouble.

Knobhead teams....well fans certainly. You forgot Villa.
Yeah, sorry I meant fans! Villa are a knobhead team but the fans seem more family orientated. Can't remember having any trouble with their fans to be honest. Don't get me wrong, i don't go looking for it but with certain other teams it's almost inevitable and ruins the experience.

You obviously didn't go to the 2020 Carabao Cup Final then.
Villa fans were being cunts all afternoon, I think some 50 something Villa fan punched a City child after we beat them.
Fortunately he was arrested for it, and did time for his crime.

No I absolutely meant their fans they are utter scum.

No, wasn't at the villa final I'm afraid, I'll stand corrected though. Let's hope we don't meet them in the final then, I was looking forward to this one if we get there!

Let’s just get there is the main thing. Ideal opponents would be Preston, but assuming Villa get through I’d prefer Forest. Palace look good at the moment

A postman from the Cotswolds if I remember correctly, shameful we didn’t dish out our own justice for punching a City kid

Preston apart, they are all teams I wouldn't feel over confident against.

I was there and it was awful. My daughter got a lot of abuse on the underground.

No different from 2000 when Bolton played them in the FA cup semi. Grown 30 to 40 year old men attacking and abusing teenage scarfers and women.

I got an underground train to Wembley that was mainly City fans.
One of them asked me if I was a Villa fan, because I had a maroon coloured baseball cap on.
The fact that the cap has CITY in big gold letters across the front seemed to have escaped this myopic moron .
