It already feels like "pre Trump" and "post Trump" will be remembered in history as a thing. But for all the wrong reasons.
In time, he will pass.
And for those saying removing him/him dying won't change anything are wrong.
He is unique. He is the ultimate example of grossness and vanity. A man with zero appeal and redeeming features.
He has zero morals or empathy. he is a product of everything that is wrong with America....greed and power.
So he only appeals to like minded, ignorant people.
The others below him might have worse intentions, but they won't be able to slime their ways out of everything like he does.
Once he is gone, the problems will be gone. Watch the rats scatter...well like rats!

He also has to have ratification by 3/4 of the States. Again the Blue states will ensure that he doesn't get it.

The last election and likely future elections, very much played out along the lower your education attainment, the more likely you were to vote Trump.
The denuding of education, on both sides of the Atlantic, is not an accident.
Elections being split along educational attainment lines is somewhat new as is the astounding feature of under 25 year old men who voted Trump in huge numbers, and that’s not really supposed to happen (when correlating age along the political ‘left and right’.
3 or 4 word slogans are about as much as many people can or want to hear and, to be fair to the Trumper and his chums, they’ve mostly picked up on this.

There is nothing theoretical about one of the two most powerful men in the world (a man with his finger on the nuclear button, who displays many signs of being clinically insane) talking about taking friendly, sovereign nations by force. Nothing theoretical about him siding with a brutal regime and turning America’s back on its long standing friends. Nothing theoretical about him saying he was going to be a dictator and that being followed by a series of vengeful measures against his ‘enemies’ which are only set to increase. Nothing theoretical about him ignoring judicial rulings. Nothing theoretical about the talk of a third term, whatever part of the Constitution you choose to cite.

None of these things are beliefs, they are facts.

Makes no difference to me what you think, and in the scheme of things it makes no real difference what you or me think, but if you believe the Constitution is immune from all this then you are making the same mistake that Native Americans made 400 years ago, and old monied, middle class Jewish families in Poland would have made 95 years ago, thinking all that they had was ultimately safe because of the protections the law afforded them.

He can have it "interpreted" by judges he appoints for the purpose.

He can stand as VP then have the new president resign.

Constitutions are only meaningful if the culture of the country supports it. If not, you have Russia - a democratic constitution allowing a murderous dictatorship. This is where the US is currently heading. The constitution per se cannot save them.

Is it a figment of my imagination that Trump literally tried to subvert the 2020 election? The only thing that prevented him succeeding was that he had not managed to infiltrate all levels of government and the judiciary with his minions yet and his VP at the time found the balls to do the right thing and ratify the electoral college vote.

The plans were in place to steal the 2024 election but were not needed because Social Media was effective in manipulating enough people to vote him.

In 2028, the plans for subverting the election will be much more comprehensive and by then the popular vote will be irrelevant.

Call it hysteria if you want but the story of the last 10 years since Trump appeared on the political scene suggests that it’s very unlikely there can ever be a fair presidential election again whilst Trump is still around and the MAGA apparatus is in place.
