Roll call for 9 minute protest

Tim, sorry that’s bollox. Khaldoon doesn’t micro manage. He leave the day to day running of the club’s finances to Soriano and the rest of the executive. They are the ones who make the decisions
Who mentioned micro-manage. That would be ludicrous. I can imagine Khaldoon, for example, signing off on the hotel, museum and expanded North Stand plan though.

I know you are in the camp that excludes Danny Wilson from any criticism Wes. Fair enough, even though he personally endorsed the Vianogo deal.

Of course Khaldoon signs off decisions like that but not the likes of the Viagogo deal. Where have I excluded Danny Wilson from criticism. For your information I won’t be taking my seat until 9 minutes in on Wednesday

Top man Wes

Probably won’t even know. Couple hundred people late in their seats and 38 pages on Bluemoon is hardly going to be top of the agenda when he gets back from the White House.

If that’s what you honestly think fair enough.

Regardless of the protest turn out and how the protest goes, it will get torn apart on Blue Moon by certain posters. That’s for certain.

By the end of the night the directors will see it. They will hear it. It will be all over the media the following day.

That isn’t what Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon want to see and read.(I hope) Especially when Khaldoon has made statements like this about the fans and their support for the cub in the past.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has told City fans - "the heart and soul of the club" - that they can look forward to enjoying the good times they deserve for their staunch support through the lean years.

“They have stuck with the club through hard times and good times. There have been hard times this year and I appreciated their support. It will be rewarded in the years to come.

“I’ll never forget the Hamburg game, that was an incredible showing by our fans. We gave our hearts out to the players that night. It leaves a hunger to go back. We want that again, and I think we’ll get it.”

Correct.

Thank you.

Hopefully people will start understanding that.

Maybe he and Sheikh Mansour are friends or maybe the Sheikh just likes to discuss football with him. I don't see anything strange in that. He paid enough for our club so he is entitled to ask to see Pep if he wants.
That will be the main part of it. Pep won’t be asked to tweak his objectives.

Posted by the Prophet of Doom on the seat counting thread.

He is absolutely spot on.

Let’s be honest - the number of seats still available is a disgrace for a team that’s won 4 titles on the bounce.

We’ve fucked up beyond belief - we should be set up for a generation of full houses for every game yet we somehow have this mess losing fans by the day.

The chronic mis-management on how to alienate a supporter base whilst building a new stand that is simply not needed will be analysed by other clubs for years.

How the smartest men in the room became the village idiots within 12 months !

How many tkts left?

There was over 3000 tickets left this morning.

Block 313, SSL3, away end with discounted £30 adult tickets has shifted 140 tickets today. 65 tickets are left. That block will sell out.

What does that tell you about City selling affordable tickets.

Ok then, we’ll just give up and accept being priced out.
I'm not saying give up, but a quickly arranged protest on a night match where lots will still be arriving after kick off won't make a difference. It will hardly be noticed, might seem harsh but it's true. The prices won't go backwards no matter how much you protest, the only way is to stop buying tickets, but if you do someone else will buy them.

It will get noticed. The fact it’s happening is notice enough. I really don’t understand why people keep on saying it won’t get noticed. The planned protest is all over the media, and is being discussed on every City fan forum and City social media platform/channel, and at City boardroom level.

And no, I won’t be wearing Zebra pants on Wednesday night. ;-)

I bet you've got your "told you so" script ready to post on Thursday morning.

Let me ask you this.

If there are thousands of empty seats at kick off that suddenly become occupied on 9 minutes, will you be proud that Blues have come together and sent a strong message to the Club? Or will you be gutted?

I am not protesting about a 9th ticket reselling arrangement especially as it concerns hospitality seats. It's just a silly point to fix a battle about. The protecting the core fans has also been turned into a traditional fans vs tourists argument by some fans which has alienated as much as ticket reselling.

The battle should be on ticket pricing. That point has been made repeatedly but is being ignored so I am ignoring this protest. I don't take lightly to boycotting City, and if I did it it would have to be something really important.
I look forward to hearing about when you have arranged your protest regarding Ticket Pricing ???

Please share how and when this will take place??

In the meantime, I would be happy to register my displeasure as both a fan and a customer of MCFC, by boycotting the First Nine Minutes of Wednesday’s game :0)

If you wait forever for the perfect situation or occasion,it may never happen or something else will!!! :0)

For this to work there needs to be reps telling people in every stand what is going on, maybe hand out leaflets detailing what action is being taken and why or I expect a large majority will turn up at the game with no idea this is happening, some of whom would happily have joined in .
