Roll call for 9 minute protest

A balanced view would be good
A balanced view is thinking that £60 plus for an adult home ticket as the cheapest ticket, for most premier league matches it a lot of money. A balanced view is thinking that with a stand expansion, should come new season tickets for the fans. A balanced view is not wanting to partner with rip off sites that takes them tickets off proper blues and puts in unknowns into them seats, yet if you want a United ticket from City you have to have a history of games etc, you pay a bit more via viagogo or such like and you could be sat next to a rag who was able to pay more. A balanced view is not wanting to be surrounded by Madrid fans every time we play them, with no instruction to stewards to remove such fans. A balanced view is not wanting 4 kits a season released at massive prices. A balanced view is not wanting yearly season card increases. A balanced view is not wanting large parts of our away allocation going to these dodgy sites and lifelong blues missing out. A balanced view is wanting a bit of transparency from the club.

no problems with you having your views on this. When you refer to the 'media' which media are you referring to? For what its worth, I only seem to see negative stuff in the media - not positive things about the club or its fans

your comment

"Your last point you say "and enjoy games with fellow fans".... you'd have a job doing that when we've ALL been priced out!!"

Well I happen to think that this is totally over the top and just more depressing negativity about OUR club. All I see on the TV is how great Arsenal; Liverpool; and even Amorin's rags are
When it comes to City, all they talk about is our problems.

I'm sick of reading it all and now the criticism of the club is all over BlueMoon

I like to see how our club has grown so much that 'tourist' fans want to come to the games - and to be honest - they seem to enjoy it more than many

I still sit with the 10 or so fans I sat with in the Kippax and we enjoy the match

I don't enjoy the way folk on here expect all long term fans to turn on the club. That's how I feel about it anyway
100% agree, there has to be a better way to demonstrate than missing 9 minutes of a night game where people are coming in late, especially a 7.45 kick off, will anyone notice?

Personally the biggest problem we have and to focus on first are the cost of children's tickets which are a disgrace, any adult paying full price should be allowed to bring a child for £10, the children are our future...now that's a demonstration most would get behind.

It's got the stage where I am sick of reading negativity about the club in the media and now all over our fans forum.
The only reaction I have had from the likes of you is that I don't understand. You don't entertain any thoughts that disagree with your thoughts on the matter.

You are right to say what you want but don't mock those who don't agree with you. It doesn't make you any cleverer than me
Isn't about being clever, I have given you a big list in my last reply. If you are happy with the piss being taken out of you, and you are fortunate enough to not feel the big increases then lucky you.

I was just being as way off course as everybody else seems to be. But its ok for you to have strong views but not for me to if they differ from yours
You can feel what you want, but please, don't state a ridiculous comment like that, who, 22 years later expects to be paying what we pay now.

But you can afford the games and you have a seasoncard (probably on a concessions discount - right?).

For me, I can afford my seasoncard too. I'm lucky to be in that position. HOWEVER...

Through my work with 1894 I speak to loads of younger lads (aged around 18-25) who literally have never had the chance to buy a seasoncard. They cannot afford the match day ticket prices (which are often £60+). They MIGHT be lucky enough to get a flexigold ticket and pay £150 MORE than me for an inferior product (compared to my seasoncard).

Just because you and your mates can afford it, doesn't mean other people aren't being priced out.

1894 is incredibly supportive of our worldwide fanbase, and we don't want them priced out, either! We've had banners designed by fans in Japan. We've had fans from India and Thailand come and join us in 115. A city fan is a city fan in my eyes. They shouldn't have to pay extortionate prices on Viagogo; it's unfair. Why can't the club just sell tickets through their own website? Why do we need 9 official resellers?!

This isn't a fight between mancs and 'foreigners'... it never has been. There are some posters (like Marvin) who are trying to make out that it is, for some strange reason. This is a protest to ensure that the core support remains. If you can't spare 9 minutes to make a statement and support your fellow fans that are being priced out, then that's really sad. Especially if it's based on your loyalty/love for City and wanting to protect them - because they absolutely have no loyalty/love for you!! They see you (and me, and everyone else posting on here) as an income source - nothing more, nothing less.

As I say - lots of comments on here are not completely correct. Why do you say that the cheapest Adult home ticket is £60 plus? Are there any cheaper tickets for sale for - say - the Leicester game?

Spot on mate!

I don't go on Liverpools fans social media - I come on BlueMoon and see constant moaning and criticism

There wouldn't be constant moaning and criticism if the club valued our support. They don't. And whilst that continues, you'll keep seeing moaning and criticism.

If fans show solidarity we might end up with a good deal for fans. Wouldn't that be nice?

If City don't get in to the Champions League next season I think you could consider the following as a reason
- how the club may have been sleep walking to this position over a few windows
- the manager making some bad mistakes repeatedly for months

But I think the clear answer will be that City fans not taking their seats for the first 9 minutes of a game vs Leicester have cost City their place in the Champions League. If 1/10th of 1 game out of 38 is not the be all for this season, I don't know what is.

I have confidence that the players will look to the stands for the first few minutes and think "I'm not playing for these ungrateful bastards, especially as my sports home page is always talking about how great the RAGS are".

Don't try guilt tripping me - and get your facts straight. The trouble with posts like this is that they are based on what YOU think are facts. For example,
you have decided I have a concessionary ticket (and so have a biased view) - WRONG
you have decided I can't spare 9 minutes to "demonstrate" - WRONG I obviously am not allowed a different view to you

all I have heard today on the media is:
the apparent 'joy' that Haaland is out and we are unlikely to qualify for CL
that the fans are planning a protest about prices (& there is no balance here by stating that other fans are doing the same)

We are the club the media love to slate and in my opinion - if I'm allowed to to have one - is that just now is the time to support the team

Yes it would be nice - but its wrong to state that everything the club does regarding fans, is thoughtless

He said for most Premier League matches, not all of them. And he's right - the majority of league games this season has had the cheapest adult match day tickets priced at over £60. Palace a week on Saturday is £61, for example. Of course, Palace returned the top tier and they went on sale for £30 but all adult match day tickets in the designated home areas for that match, apart from the returned visitors section, are priced at £61 minimum

For most premier league home games. Everton at home was touching £70. Leicester at home on a Wednesday night may be a bit less but you can't pick and choose one bit and use a poor example to combat it. As I said, if you are happy with it then fill your boots. You are in the minority

4 home games left to try and and climb a mountain and get a champions league place. Yet some think it a really good idea to have protests that will obviously reflect in the atmosphere at all remaining home games where this stunt is pulled.

Why not do the demos before and after the game where the support for the team is not affected.

And anybody repeating Pep’s comments seem to miss out the bit where he says he needs our support - I’m sure he’s buzzing that the support will come from the concourse for 10 minutes then another 10 minutes for everybody trying to get to their seats.

Genius.
I don't know why everyone is ignoring the fact that there is also a demo at 7pm outside the Colin Bell statue? Please can you come to that?
