Didn't bother watching any news coverage yesterday so missed any praise that KdB leaving might have garnered. Made the mistake of watching sports news on Breakfast with diminutive halfwit bushell. All about the National, then women's football. Considering one of the most influential and decorated players is leaving the flagship football league, you would think they would mention it? Bitter wankers.

Like many here I am under no illusions about the sports media and it's biases.

Now that City is going to court again over the unfair advantage of shareholder loans , having exposed the incompetent and rushed workings of the PL as they cobbled together a " fix", the silence from the media is deafening.

Remember the immediate and vitriolic outrage when it was leaked that City were going to arbitration over APT ? Wall to wall coverage . City were going to break football. Etc etc . What a contrast . Could it be that yesterday's announcement came from City , not leaked by a big six club to one of the journalists they have in their pockets ? Or could it be that they don't know how to spin it as it feels like a slam dunk ?

Somehow they are going to have to find a way to say that a rich owner investing in a club is different from a rich owner finding sponsors to invest in a club . One is fine , nothing to see here , but the other has to turn out their pockets like a naughty schoolchild and wait for the headmaster to come back from an extended jolly before they can gain any grudging permission.

Whether City intends to pursue the case in court or simply to use it as a negotiating lever remains to be seen . But I'm looking forward to seeing how the media respond. Who are the cheats now ?
Great post mate, says everything about the media

Unsurprisingly, an absolutely mean and twatish piece by Liew in the Guardian. Begrudgingly respectful at the start (compares him to Keane, I kid you not) and suggests he couldn't have done everything without the cheating and funds from a despot without, at the end. His pieces in regard to our innocence, if it comes, will be emotional.

For an obviously intelligent man to fall so far down the rabbit hole into the depths of tribalism, is a testament to todays journalism and how it is occupied by fan boys. Miguels shrink is gonna be busy with Magic and him.

It's very tough for journalists to make money now by creating balanced and sensible content.. That's not the world we live in any more .. They have to try and curate a following and interactions by appealing to an audience that is going to get excited and engaged by a view that supports their community.. The non City community is massive.. That's where the money is currently..

Exactly . I've given up on the MEN and now subscribe to The Mill . I'd love it if they did an investigation into football in the city but I expect that's wishful thinking .

Yep and mat Lawton angle is bias towards us as per usual not that those apt rules stink like shit! So these owner shares can be also made into shares so the club don't have to be paid back in full also! And they help with PSR too! So our owner should put in 2 billion loan with 0% interest rates! Oh and Chelsea are getting away with media scrutiny so much and they are cheating there way through it all in full view!!

The Chelsea situation is particularly galling . On what planet are the financial doping exploits Putin's mate, Abramovich, not being subjected to any level of scrutiny by the media . Just because the new owners have fessed up ...move along now , nothing to see here . That's all in the past .

Simon stone is the only **** who could do a piece like this on the day KDB is reveered as one of the all time greatest. What a **** he is and sums the paedophile hiding bbc up. Anyway have a good weekend blues.
The club has been far too lenient on the BBC and Stone. Both should have been banned years ago. How we even allow him in to ask his shit stirring questions is baffling. Either ban him and tell him to fuck off to his beloved Rags or simply ignore him throughout Peps pre match press meetings

How to say is it a case of rats leaving a sinking ship without saying is it a case of rats leaving a sinking ship.

When the OED give their definition of "pseudo intellectual" it should be accompanied by a picture of Liew.

Its the derby so obviously some vital opinion pieces are out there.

Rag Simon Stone on the BBC - what's going on with Garnacho?

What they think: people give a fuck.

Actual Answer: no one gives a fuck coz he plays for the team in 13th.

----

Rag Mark Ogden on ESPN: Why the Manchester derby lost its cachet.

What they think: a plethora or reasons including our poor transfer windows and 115

Actual Answer: United have been shit for literally 12 years solid.
