PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don't ever remember a City team that ever played out and out defensive football. There have been some sides that were weak, and that struggled for goals, but defending the penalty area as some current sides do would have been very unpopular. We have had some long ball teams though.

Arsenal's invincibles were also an attacking side
I think Kendall in his first year, making sure he kept us up, set out for a point a fair few times. Everton away one I particularly remember (or not!).

Points for Everton and Forrest

Most football fans would automatically assume that in a test of sustainability you would not include the sale of fixed assets as those are the actions of a club that is on the edge of insolvency. Seemingly that's OK by the Premier League. Meanwhile the corporate media screamed in outrage about Manchester City and say very little about Chelsea.

All about the narrative, just look at the language using the softest language “breach” not contravened, failed, cheated, deceived….. whole load of words they could have used.

I wonder what the punishment is for just saying "Fuck You, UEFA", we don't care what your rules are, we are doing what we want and lying about why and how we did it.

Mind you, I also wonder what the punishment is for just saying "Fuck you, PL", we don't care what your rules are, we are doing what we want and lying about why and how we did it.

I can pretty much guarantee it won't involve a four year investigation and demands for expulsion, though .....

But the PL allowed it.

Football is a fucking mess with all these bullshit rules.

I don’t think they had the appetite to open up a scrap with another club. City are not only showing the PL for the incompetent, biased, corrupt organisation they are and at the same time dragging them through the legal procedure is making their bank balance fall. Chelsea’s owners would throw their legal team on it and cost them even more money.

UEFA now only fine for breaches - the PL deduct points.

I’m sure Chelsea will be happy to pay whatever UEFA fine is coming their way.

Yes, I am aware. But it is an increasing scale based on magnitude of breach and previous sanctions. Iirc, they also have a good faith rule. Anyone think Chelsea has been acting in good faith?

You would lose your UEFA Licence, thus banned from euro comps.

So is it fair to say Chelsea have basically said "Fuck You, UEFA", we don't care what your rules are, we are doing what we want and lying about why and how we did it?

That sounds like not complying but I’m sure he PL won’t see it that way especially after lobbying them to vote in favour of APT changes.

why do I have the feeling if Uefa caught us with something like this selling that smaller stadium where ladies team playing to Man City Limited from under CFG Ltd for 100m to fit under the Uefa ffp rules we would be subject to a CL ban for a season at least but when others fail Uefa FFP its tiny fines and minor charges.

you do have the feeling others could drive a bus through FFP these days and get a fine of 1-2m pounds despite it is clear break of rules especially with some of the heavy spending that caused it like Chelsea.again the media plays a role here, as rags wasnt labeled cheaters for their minor breaches last season Chelsea will not get anything like we got in the press.

I very much expect Chelsea will be 10s of millions above whatever their Uefa FFP allowance for season 23-24 in spending. but it also sets a precedent if they get a settlement of 5m and be done with it.

dont forget when Chelsea self admitted the Abra crimes Uefa took few months and also settled with Chelsea on those for 10m fee. PL has been looking at that case since 1.5 years at least since Uefa did the settlement on it ffs.

yet if there were some new emails about City paying agents off the book between 2016 and 2019, I bet there would be a big Uefa disciplinary case on it and a long legal battle with expulsion at stake rather than some tiny fines.
they even hit is through CAS for 10m for non-cooperation which is lot less serious than what Chelsea self admitted which also got 10m fees.

and now this new FFP breaches also significantly more serious than our non cooperation but again Uefa will be very soft I guess.

so many proof we are handled differently. if its not the skin colour of our owners I dont now what else.
