Hi All. New to the forum. Looking for some advice. Son is a mad Man City fan and we will be in London for the weekend with the family and he would love to go to the game. How would I even go about getting tickets? Do I sign up as a match day member of Cityzen and how many tickets can you buy after doing that? Thanks a mill

Late kick offs might cause transport anxiety to a couple of dozen old timers who spend their spare time reading train timetables but most people take it in their stride

Younger people view later kickoffs as a bonus, they don’t have to get up so early, it’s a less stressful journey down, they have more time for drink / drugs etc

Worth noting- apologies if it's been mentioned above - that Ryan Yates and Neco Williams are both suspended for Forest for the semi final. The right back Aina will also be unlikely to make it as well.

Ha, that's exactly what I said to the wife earlier today.
The Liverpool semi - final was a very bright, sunny day and I forgot to bring a cap/hat, and I ended up pulling my gilet over my head to give myself some shade from the sun's glare. I must have looked like a right loon ,sat in the stands looking like that.

A lot of the ground is less than 30 years old. Some of it newer than most of the Etihad.

I go to Super League Grand Finals and rugby league World Cup finals there and, while the abundance of the colour red is bloody horrible, it’s perfectly alright to stage a one-off event.

It also has excellent transport links.

All of these semifinals should have been at Old Trafford:
City v Liverpool 2022
City v SheffUtd 2023
City v Forest 2025

Apologies. Looks like you’re right.
I’d read an article on the Forest website which reckoned Yates wasn’t suspended due to the 2 yellow card rule being suspended at the quarter final stage.
Looks like it’s actually so you can’t miss the final by carrying over yellows

The answer is very simple. The FA spent shedloads of money on the purchase and rebuild of Wembley. They want as much of this back and are not going to spend cash renting Old Trafford or Villa Park.

People waste their breath on this every year and it’s not going to happen. Do us all a favour and give this up.

Back in the day, Wembley cost money to rent so it made sense to hold semi-finals at the likes of Villa Park, Hillsborough, etc. Not any more.
