Who would you say led the perception of who was going to be strongest at the border? The only reason why the Democrats started to do anything is because of the dangers of not doing anything. With a free electoral run they probably wouldn't have done anything, the evidence is why did it take them 2 years just to make a start? Surely an invasion of record numbers at the border demands an immediate response? This didn't happen.
By the time they chose to act they had also lost legislative power and would have to rely upon Republican support which was always going to be a problem, clearly it was too late. Funnily enough it's at this stage that they realised that Biden was not going to beat Trump and funnily enough they axed him. It's quite obvious that their policy base and even the main candidate wasn't good enough.
Biden actually might of done better than Harris though, I don't know, the run up and the election itself was just an end-to-end disaster. You would only vote Democrat if you didn't want Trump and that wasn't enough.
So it’s perception and not reality or facts that matter? And how is that working out for everyone?
Republicans/Trump/Conservatives/Reform all campaign on emotion, primarily fear. Reason and logic all take a long vacation and it’s wall to wall fear from invasions at the border (not happening), all the way down to the price of fucking eggs.
That you can say with a straight face that the Democrat policy base wasn’t good enough when the other side had zero policies other than nonsense about tariffs, not to mention in the one and only debate Harris made Trump look like an idiot, is bizarre. You can live in this alternate world where reality distorts around you like a bad LSD trip, but the rest of us will keep our feet on terra firma.
