Do you think the chants slandering his mother negatively impacted him today?

Sometimes, opposing fans shouting defamatory chants can fire a player's anger and lead them to play better.
But did today go a bit too far?

Pep makes a comment on it in his post-match press conference.

Have teams sang it all season and why he has been shite? No, it is a derby, nasty things get sung. We sing about Gary and Phil shagging their mum. A few derbies ago Bobby Charlton touches kids got sang. Lets take no moral high ground, it isn't nice but when did everyone become a wet wipe

But the Premier League since then has been tough on chants such as "Chelsea Rent Boy" which I would say is not even that offensive. So its either are they allowing dark humour chants or are they not.
Any naughty chants are only investigated if they involve games with scousers.

Yeah, and then there was the fans' gift in Giggsy!

No impact on his performance whatsoever, he's played the same all year.

Not sure it makes it right but I've sung and heard some horrendous stuff at the match, it's part of football.

Incorrect, it is deemed homophobic and a protected characteristic. Calling someones Mum a slag isn't.
