Who are the wingers good enough? And would this wingers also sit on the bench? Since Doku isn’t even good enough to sit on the Bench I assume? We didn’t go for kvaratskhelia. There was/ is no other winger anywhere near that quality on the market and even the Georgian was 99% PSG bound. It’s not Doku fault that the system is shit and he is supposed to dribble a whole defense.
He passed the ball to Gundogan after getting past his defender then made himself free while Gundogan turned back to our goal and lost the ball instead of doing a 1-2 with him. Doku was literally through .
No winger would thrive in our current system with zero fullbacks and the restrictions in terms of positional play

His overall play is poor, not a good enough signing overall. but I agree on the nobody thriving in our current system.

Does he have all the ability in the world? His passing / crossing technique is off. If I compare him with Savinho there's a huge difference - Sav looks like he has the raw ingredients which could possibly turn into a top class player. I don't see Doku getting any better than he is now

It’s not just yesterday’s game though is it. He’s been mostly shite the entire time he’s been at the club. I’d love to be proved wrong but i don’t see him improving beyond what he is now. The bottom line is he’s just not good enough. And he’s not alone in that, there are a few others that need to be moved on.

If Sterling performed like Doku has for us so far, he would be destroyed by the fanbase.

I think he is being over managed. When he first came he was raw and unpredictable, had a bag of tricks and always managed to get a shot off.

Now he gets the ball and he has five conversations going on in his head. He has become risk averse. You saw how long Pep was coaching Grealish before he came on. Literally pecking his head for 5 minutes. The result of this is a player that doesn't use their own instinct anymore, they always play it safe.

He’s the one player who creates a bit of excitement. Yes he’s inconsistent but compared to our other options at least he has pace and brings the ball forward. He does need to track back but then none of our starting 11 have been great at it this season. This for me has been the worst aspect of the season, not the defeats but the lack of memorable games, so many boring games, particularly at home.
