Complaigning about being 5th with a FA cup SF.It’s Monday morning, the sun is out. We didn’t lose, albeit a fucking wank derby. What we don’t need is picking up.
How far we have come lol.
It's the price of progress :)

We do, that was boring, flat and shown a massive lack of idea. A draw isn't a good result against a lower half side, a lower half side whose home form is pathetic. A draw shouldn't be celebrated. If it was a one off you can live with it, it can happen. That level of performance has been happening all seasonIt’s Monday morning, the sun is out. We didn’t lose, albeit a fucking wank derby. Or lets spin it, we are the current champions and we are scraping around trying to snatch a 5th place finish. We are in the semi of the fa cup, we are playing a team who beat us recently and the other semi is against two teams we haven't beaten this season. Yeah that is a half full outlook but what has anyone seen to think we will turn it on, go on a run, get top 5 and lift the cup? We dine at the top table now, lets not just be happy to be thereComplaigning about being 5th with a FA cup SF.

next time the grammar police will be along.
Sometimes, even the head of the table has to settle for a well done rump as opposed to a rare, perfectly charred filet cut.Or lets spin it, we are the current champions and we are scraping around trying to snatch a 5th place finish. No team in Europe would be flying high without - for huge part of the season & at the same time - Rodri; Stones; Ake; Haaland; Akanje (& losing Walker)Or lets spin it, we are the current champions and we are scraping around trying to snatch a 5th place finish. Exactly, settle. Not something to celebrate. Anyway back to the topic in hand, I thought I was posting in the match thread.Sometimes, even the head of the table has to settle for a well done rump as opposed to a rare, perfectly charred filet cut.
So you are telling me the style of football is the best that can be served up, given our squad and 200m of talent added to it in January? Isn't about flying high, isn't about being as successful. It is about that better than the pile of shite being served up weekly at the moment. Stones and Ake are massively injury prone, Rodri was out for 3 games last year and we lost all three. Where is the preparation? Why the arrogance that we can go again with injury prone defenders and think we can cope with a Rodri absence? No team in Europe would be flying high without - for huge part of the season & at the same time - Rodri; Stones; Ake; Haaland; Akanje (@ losing Walker)
Unbelievable loss of experienced important first team players - not just squad players.
I don’t get why this seems to be underestimated
No one should have to settle for a well done rump, it takes less time to cook it properly.Sometimes, even the head of the table has to settle for a well done rump as opposed to a rare, perfectly charred filet cut.
I agree with everything you have just written. No team in Europe would be flying high without - for huge part of the season & at the same time - Rodri; Stones; Ake; Haaland; Akanje (@ losing Walker)

That's true but to overcome Forest in the SF we will have to find a way of breaking down a strong defence and we will face more dangerous counter-attacking players. The injury to Haaland is very badly timed for us leaving us with a SF that is in the balance.Complaigning about being 5th with a FA cup SF.

Guess we didn’t think we’d lose so many players at once, for so long. If we’d planned to get players in “in case” & the unprecedented injuries hadn’t happened, we’d have one very unhappy unsettled dressing room with players wanting to leave. So you are telling me the style of football is the best that can be served up, given our squad and 200m of talent added to it in January? Again, apologies this isn't the thread for this.

I hadn’t thought about that in my rather impressive analogy, but that’s what’s happened. We’ve been overcooked, over done and the result is this rather leathery, unseasoned steak of a season. No one should have to settle for a well done rump, it takes less time to cook it properly.
Was it as big as Vassels' though?Married a person with a bigger arse than Kenny Dalgleish
