To actively vote for someone with such a record of disgusting/illegal behaviour to represent your country both domestically and on the world stage just because they proposed a policy that you 'like' is pretty abhorrent.

We vote for people first, not policies. Unless we vote for propositions. Which we do here. And shouldn't.

What I don’t get is that calling people who voted for Trump (and won’t acknowledge their mistake at this point) “stupid” is actually NICE. “Naive” is also quite charitable — and most of those who have now changed their minds appear to be using that word to describe their current sheepishness. But I won’t disparage them — it takes nuts to admit you made a mistake — I make them all the time (though not about Trump) and don’t always have the balls to stand up and say I was wrong.

I’ll be even kinder: it was a “stupid” or “naive” decision. There. I’ve isolated it to the choice itself, not the person.

But if we aren’t using “stupid” or “naive”, what word should we use? “Misinformed”? With all the information about him out there? Really? Should we use “lazy” then?

But let’s say they’re STILL supporting him — making excuses, ignoring facts, performing whataboutery or just cheering the man on.

Maybe they voted for Trump because they WANTED to see him wreak havoc on those they don’t like or who have/get things they don’t think they deserve. Maybe they wanted to see those people put in their place — those sanctimonious libs and those they defend. Maybe they wanted to see them suffer, see them in pain. Oh the schadenfreude, right? What do we call them?

If not stupid, lazy, misinformed or naive, I’m happy to suggest a few other words if anyone’s at a loss for them.

Some of the quotes he's coming out with are insane, it shouldn't shock me by now but it still does.

The threats to Iran he's noe making are as incendiary as can be. It's like he's intentionally trying to poke the bear and I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if that's the idea here.

Anyway, with him saying Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, at this point, how many would sooner take their chances with Iran having one over how many this berk has at his fingertips?

Who is the one with nuclear weapons making threats if they don't get what they want? Who is the one who is very publicly stating they are intending on taking territory they have no claim over just because they want it? America aren't in a position to act as peacekeepers anymore, they're as much of a threat as anybody.

People were absolutely convinced by a conman that fucking over those they don't like is good for them, when in fact it's only really good for the conman.

What cause could any of his donors possibly have to complain? They knew exactly who he was, he's been president before, and he's doing exactly what he said he would. It's like ordering a rag shirt and then complaining that it's red.

This is worse than the tariff nonesense in the sense that he thinks ethnic cleansing for extortion is to be applauded.

It might half make sense if he said he wanted to take over Greenland to move the Palestinians there so that they had a peaceful land. And obviously move the Greenlanders to The Trumpazza Strip to work in his casinos so they weren't cold ever again.
