No you're not mate. I can't recall the scores though, but always grates because Palace are one of those teams we really should beat ( even our 17/18 maestros were held to 0-0 at 12.30 New Years eve 2017) and they have a habit of getting draws out of us. Then of course there is the 3-2 Andros Townsend worldie December 18.

They imo are one of our bogey teams.
I think a recent 2-2 with them getting two late goals?

Without a doubt at home we really struggle against these

Yes -its either him or Gundo.....KDB should be nowhere near the pitch

People acting like Foden is the only player that hasnt been playing well...none of them have but with KDB and Gundo its permanent issue...foden has the potential to get back to form....the others dont.
He is more able to press and run than the others as well
The excuse for the other midfielders is their age, Foden does not have that excuse.

is this the first game where semi-automated offside technology is in play for the PL?

wonder if we somehow get fucked with it.

Just checked the PL fixtures for weekend,

Jesus, everyone we are up against for this CL spot has a gimme!

We simply have to win.

The following week we are away at Everton. I can see them bullying us.

We could be out of the running after the next 2 games.

That shitshow on Sunday was a fucking disaster, we needed the 3 points.

Ederson
Gvardiol
Dias
Khusanov
Lewis
Foden
Bernardo
Grealish
Nico
Doku or Savinho
Marmoush

Couple of square pegs but needs must.

De Bruyne looks fooked, can't start against their energy.

The 2 wingers play a part if the one chosen doesn't work out.

Nunes, nowhere near the 11 please.

Are any of our injuries due back do we know?

I hope that KDB is not going to start every remaining game out of sentiment. Put him on the bench and bring him on with 25 mins to go when he's got the legs and the opposition haven't. We can't afford any slow sideways passing against a solid side like Palace who will defend that kind of football in their sleep.

I think the injury to Haaland has presented us with a massive problem. A lot of blues suggested it would be a blessing in disguise but that was a silly response. Haaland hasn't been brilliant this season because he's playing in front of a poor midfield and fitful and young wingers. Hopefully Marmoush can fill in but it's going to take a big effort by the players (and fans). Fortunately, our league games are winnable.

Injured players: No I don't think so. Akanji is the closest. No news on Rodri for a while either.

Dias Gvardiol should be our first choice partnership in defence moving forward. Khusanov right back to create a 3 when building up with the left back either high and wide or next to the 6

We really need some of our midfielders to step up to the plate now and start chipping in with goals. It's unbelievable that only Marmoush has scored besides Haaland since Christmas I think, something like that anyway. We used to score for fun from Midfield why has it gone so bad?

We need to find a pattern of play before the semi-final. We're defending better now that Dias is back in the side, and we have Khusanov in reserve, and O'Reilly has strengthened the left side. But going forward we look weak. I think we have to drop KDB and Gundogan, use KDB as a sub, and give Nico Gonzalez a run.

This game could be a forerunner for the FA Cup Final. I don't think there is a big difference between any of the remaining sides. Villa are probably the strongest. Losing Haaland is a massive loss. A lot of City fans think he's had a relatively subdued season, but look what he's playing in front of. Two wingers who are extremely young, one of whom is in his first season, and one of the slowest midfields in the Premier League.

I'm hoping Pep pushes O'Reilly into midfield alongside Nico Gonzalez, or plays Grealish there. What KDB did for us in the past was legendary but now we need to use him carefully.

This is possibly the most made up stat i've read :D

but the midfield do need a kick up the arris
It needs changing. O'Reilly and Nico are options. I'd say Grealish too but he's been available for a while but Pep has largely ignored that option.

Gonzalez and Grealish are the main options, and I think Savinho should come back to the fold over Doku. I personally agree with Pep that playing O'Reilly at full back this season is wise, his lackadaisical 2nd half at the swamp was a bit of evidence of that (he'll be a grand player i reckon).

I'd personally look at Grealish left protecting O'Reilly, Kovacic and Gonzalez central with Savinho wide, Silva behind them, Marmoush up top. Foden needs to sit out along with Gundogan.

( I happen to think Gundo has been quite good this last 2 months but I think it's time for a change)
