Not saying he has an excuse but Foden has a future here..kdb gundo don't....foden can find form...kdb and gundo can't as their bodies can't do it anymore
Foden needs a long break which will be hard to find this summer. I firmly believe he can rediscover the form of last season and my further hope would be that he can move to an even higher level for his prime years which he has yet to reach. If Gundog is around next season it should be as a member of the coaching staff which he might excellent at.

We really need some of our midfielders to step up to the plate now and start chipping in with goals. It's unbelievable that only Marmoush has scored besides Haaland since Christmas I think, something like that anyway. We used to score for fun from Midfield why has it gone so bad?
cause those players have fallen off a cliff....

Gundo and KDB are done at a top level...its been obvious with KDB since last season and Gundo hasnt had a good game since he returned.
Foden clearly have issues and Sav couldnt hit a barn door
Grealish has never been a goal scorer despite what some people want to imagine him to be and neither has Kova
Rodri - injured

We replaced the likes of Sterling and Sane and Mahrez with wide players who are not goal scoreres and we havent replaced our aging midfield

Thats the only way Gundo should be around next season.....if he plays any part as a first team player then the club have failed in the transfer window....

Gonzalez and Grealish are the main options, and I think Savinho should come back to the fold over Doku. I personally agree with Pep that playing O'Reilly at full back this season is wise, his lackadaisical 2nd half at the swamp was a bit of evidence of that (he'll be a grand player i reckon).

I'd personally look at Grealish left protecting O'Reilly, Kovacic and Gonzalez central with Savinho wide, Silva behind them, Marmoush up top. Foden needs to sit out along with Gundogan.

( I happen to think Gundo has been quite good this last 2 months but I think it's time for a change)
Glad someone else noticed that about O'Reilly...exactly why Pep hooked him after he got booked...he was half step away from getting sent off due to a lazy second tackle/booking

Ederson
Gvardiol
Dias
Khusanov
Lewis
Foden
Bernardo
Grealish
Nico
Doku or Savinho
Marmoush

Couple of square pegs but needs must.

De Bruyne looks fooked, can't start against their energy.

The 2 wingers play a part if the one chosen doesn't work out.

Nunes, nowhere near the 11 please.

Are any of our injuries due back do we know?
So you want Lewis instead of Nunes? Not a wise choice as he has done little to inspire confidence as the season has progressed. Not sure why you conclude he is any better than Nunes who at least has a bit of athleticism about him.

I hope that KDB is not going to start every remaining game out of sentiment. Put him on the bench and bring him on with 25 mins to go when he's got the legs and the opposition haven't. We can't afford any slow sideways passing against a solid side like Palace who will defend that kind of football in their sleep.

I think the injury to Haaland has presented us with a massive problem. A lot of blues suggested it would be a blessing in disguise but that was a silly response. Haaland hasn't been brilliant this season because he's playing in front of a poor midfield and fitful and young wingers. Hopefully Marmoush can fill in but it's going to take a big effort by the players (and fans). Fortunately, our league games are winnable.
Said the same about KDB - the next 6 games cant be a KDB fairwell tour....

I would take a draw, always hate early kick offs and palace have a good record at the Etihad.

And those wide players were bought at full price - not as cheap reserves. Whilst they have some dribbling skills they've offered very little else so far, and haven't improved since they've been with us. I expect the finished article for the millions we pay for them - and to them.

If we don't win on Saturday - and that won't be easy against a bogey team like Palace, who are in good form - we're looking at Thursday night football next season.

Fingers crossed that Pep can wake up from his 6 month slumber and, on opening his eyes, see his under performers and gets them out of the 1st 11. KDB, Gundo, Kova, Bernardo, Lewis, Nunes, Savinho - 7 potential liabilities, combinations of which Pep must avoid starting.

Freshen it up, you bald fraud!

At this stage, a draw isn't good enough.
Newcastle could be 6 points ahead of us if they win their game in hand and we may well be in 7th with Fulham breathing down our necks.
Good enough for what? It would be a good result given respective form of the teams. Pep will set up not to get beat (ala the derby) and he will be nervous about the counter. People thinking we are going to win all our remaining games easily are mistaken.

Its not good enough if we want CL qualification for next season.
I doubt that we are going to win all our remaining games easily.
What makes you think that?
A loss or draw to Crystal Palace could leave us in 7th position and pulling back 2 positions with only a few games left is going to be extremely difficult.
Winning our home games is essential and it needs to start against Palace

agreed on most of that

Sav at least offers something different and he is new so needs time - he has to learn to fight when the shit is hitting the fan like it is now
Bernardo as bad as he has been is still up for the fight...you could see that against the rags at weekend. He did a lot of good defensive work (terrible going forward however)

Agree on the rest however

Issue is who else do you start in middle of midfield with Nico G? For me the only viable option from that lot is Bernado. Gundo and KDB are done, Nunes we know what Pep thinks and everyone can see it as well, Lewis has been awful when there and Kova vey average.

Huge issue not easily solvable by just freshen it up! There is no solution within the squad and we dont even have Haaland to rely on to get goals.

Hopefully we will actually try and win the game though weve had many struggles with Palace at our place over the years. Guehi and Nketiah being banned helps a little - also hoping we dont roll out the Soccer Aid midfield full of OAPs once again.

Honest question, how many games this season have we genuinely gone out to win? It’s all about control of the midfield now which seems to make Pep happy. He seems so relaxed these days he’s virtually horizontal. Hope I’m wrong but I see a draw at best.

Quite possibly need to win all our remaining games to be safe.

Is it too early for Palace to rest a few with the FA semi-final on the horizon? Or will they try to keep their decent form going into that weekend? They've breached the golden 40pt barrier so maybe the towels could be out and we'll see a similarly lethargic game as per the derby.

City 1-0 Palace

Well I'm going to this one, and completely unintentionally just noticed I've only seen us play London teams this year and we've won them all. Don't know what the fuss is all about :)

City's PL goals this season without the injured Haaland (21) and Stones (2)

Even worse, apart from Marmoush's contribution, how many of these goals are recent, or even this year?

Foden 7
Gvardiol 5
Marmoush 5
Kovacic 4
Doku 3
Bernardo 2
De Bruyne 2
McAtee 2
Savinho 1
Grealish 1
Lewis 1
Own Goal 1

Our biggest hope might be a clean sheet because we won't be scoring 3 or 4
