I get that they're illegally in the country, but undocumented migrants have generally quietly gone about their business, paying taxes along the way, taking ZERO from the government in the process. They are net contributors to the economy by a long way.
To breach basic privacy laws in such a flagrant manner is indicative of this administration's lack of respect for the rule of law overall. They know there will be little or no pushback from the SC, and that it's only really a matter of time before the whole rule of law becomes very dictatorial.
If and when the dust settles on this period of history, I wonder just how many of those currently in positions of power and influence will be standing up in court and claiming, 'I was just following orders'?
