I’ve honestly never seen a poster be so spectacularly wrong on such a wide range of topics. Actually think there’s a decent chance he’s on the wind up, such are the incredible levels of consistency to his appalling judgement and perspective.
 
Trump on China tariffs, using his “weapons are larger and better than your’s” straight out of the Putin playbook because you can’t even “imagine the weapons America has got”.

Tonight the American news want an investigation they are putting forward the idea it was all “insider trading” whatever that means.

I don't really care if he's wrong but FFS the constant moaning and complaining about EVERYTHING. Each post is like reliving the "I don't like sand" bit from that horrible Star Wars prequel. What a fucking balloon.

In basic terms, insider trading is carried out by those with inside knowledge of, or have an influence over the market they are speculating on. This means they know how the markets are likely to react in advance of trading and therefor have a significant advantage over regular investors.

They have a different system to us, when Truss mismanaged the economy she was replaced. Trump is there for four years and people will have lost money by what has happened. Sometimes we complain about our system but we do have a safety net.

So everything in terms of public spending is fine?

IE, a project like HS2 should cost £60-80bn for 230km of railway track and that's perfectly normal? Or what about £20bn for Crossrail? 72 miles of railway, much of it underground, all of it delivered several years late.

To put this into context, France/Italy are building an entire new line of 200km for €20bn, some of it underground through the Alps. We meanwhile have paid £100m for a 10m wide, 900m long concrete bat cave.

We're being conned but yeah I suppose it's best not to ask questions.

This matters in both cases, because he is engaged in the mother of all trade wars with China - and Japan wants a trade deal with him that would see it escape mega tariffs. The loaded guns they have are their massive loans to the US government. Japan owns more than a trillion dollars of US Treasuries and China not much less. If they were to sell those bonds, or even if they chose not to refinance maturing bonds, that could be a disaster for Trump. Because it could cause another potentially crippling spike in bond yields.
