He was also not helped that he needed to stay on the offside line, but Eze was so far ahead of the line when the initial pass to their winger was played. Eze has a large head start on Lewis.

Lewis hasn't done too much wrong . He's covering at right full back well and also coming inside right to stop their counter. May see him surge further forward as the next half progresses .

Think a defensive coach would be the best signing we could make, surely pep can see whoever is coaching them at the minute is fucking clueless

I think the lack of technical quality combined with pace across the team is the issue. We don't pass, control and move like we used too, we don't dominate meaningful possession like we used to.

Walker, Cancelo, Sterling, Sane then add the injuries of Rodri, Stones, Ake, Akanji and Haaland.

That's a lot of pace and technical ability lost.

Some of it we can get back with injured players returning, but the next 3 or 4 signings have to be of the highest quality, no more compromising.
