Exactly how I feel about it.
 
Had a pint with a mate today..he used to watch the rags home and way in Europe everywhere.
Last few years him and a few rag fans have been going to watch Buxton.
He told me today Buxton play away at alferton on Tuesday.
He's paid for 5 of them match ticket x5.
And 5 tickets for the coach.
It was less than 100 quid .he said they will go in the pubs near the ground have a beer with the opposition fans .stand with your mates..drink in the terrace .
And you don't watch millionaire average players rolling around cheating..I wouldn't swap what I've seen watching city since from 84 till now..up and down.
Sometimes proper shit.. dreaming of going to Wembley especially against spurs in quarter final.
To the semi final against the rags.
Aguero 93.20 probably the best moment in my life.
Winning the treble .

4in a row..watching David Silva (that on its own was something I'll never forget and I don't think any other player will come close )
But it's just too fucking expensive.
Unfortunately I think my time watching the love of my life.
The one constant.
My only true real love is over because it's too expensive.
I can afford it .
I just won't pay what it is.
42years watching my team home and away.im 48.
My dad got me my season ticket when I was 8 and apart from 2 years I've had it since.
I used to feel part of a family.
Like the club needed me.
I don't now I feel like I'm stopping a glory hunter or influencer buying my ticket.
I don't feel wanted.
Our owners have let me witness and feel something I didn't dream was possible.
But the last few years it's come at a cost of the normal proper working class fans
I used to get in the ground and see lads I've been mates with since I was 16 on the kippax.
Not anymore

I suppose you can't have both your either average or shite in the pitch with local fans.
Or brilliant on the pitch but that brings glory fans.
Would I swap the feeling of 9320 to go back to a ground full of proper blues.

Maybe ...
It doesn't feel like my team anymore.
Once a blue always a blue.
I'll always be a blue.
But an armchair one from now on.

He goes to Buxton cos we live in Buxton
I've been a few times this season it's absolutely brilliant.. atmosphere is great..stand with ur mates..ends up a load of rags .a load of blues..and a few lads I'm mates with who are sheff u fans.

The standard of football I quite good .one thing that stands out there's no diving and if the decision is right or wrong no fucking var..id rather not go..id rather go to city
Like I have since I was 6.
But a number of factors .the cost..stupid kick off times.
Diving and play acting by the multi millionaire players.
The cost..var.
Tourist.
Half and half scarf twats filming the game for tic twats to watch.
Maybe I'm just a moaning old ****.
And it feels weird stopping going when we're at the top ..after all the years going when we were so shit..I sat on the kippax in a demonstration about swales.
I've been everywhere going to Stockport ahem I used to watch Stockport with my mate a county fan on a Friday night just to watch a game .to then watch city play them that was a low.
To go to macc when I work with loads of macc fans..going away to grimbsy they were low times hard to keep going..but I did .like every other one of our amazing fans..but I just can't do it anymore.
I've never been to a game without my dad..hes kept his ticket I've sold mine to a mate.
I know it upsets my dad I'm not going..but Ive always said 700 was my cut off..yes I could go up to the 3rd tierd
But I'll be honest I've got out of the habit now..I want to miss it.
I want to want to go..but the buzz isn't there..when I go I don't get the buzz .I wish I did..even someone wants to have a go Cos I've stopped going crack on .I've done my time.
But that felling I used to get isn't there anymore .
Man city will always be my 1st and my only true love .I can't imagine going to a game ever again.
That makes me really sad .
But I'm not paying nearly 50 for a one off ticket.
I used to feel like city needed me.
Like I was part of a massive family.
Something special.
I don't anymore I feel like I'm a nuisance a problem that's stopping a gloryfan paying 100 for a ticket.
I'll always be a blue.
I'll remember Sergio scoring that goal the way I felt to feel that in the ground will never be beaten.
Apart from my little girl been born that was the best moment in my life.
But I said to my old man just after that.
Nothing will ever top this.
Nothing will ever beat this.
Even winning the treble.
NOthing will ever top that moment when Sergio did that..but after that we reached the top of the mountain we did the one thing the rags said we would we did the almost impossible.
We won the treble.
And then unbelievable we went one better..we did something that's never been done before..and I believe will never be done again..we won the title 4 years running .
For me when I watch the team celebrate winning the title 4 times in a row i thought where can we go from here.
There is nothing more to achieve.
Maybe go unbeaten and win the treble???..but that shite team my dad made me watch in the 2 and division.
That team the rags laughed at.. typical city.
Had completed football.
Done finished..maybe for me the worst that happened is we were so good .
We were almost perfect pep achieved the un achievable.
At the time I or we didn't realize but that was the ultimate.

Having been in the luxury business for decades you can price anything at any price you want if there are people stupid enough to pay it.

My house is pretty much a luxury product free zone. You want to know the time, look at your phone. You want to be a poser with a ridiculously expensive watch, just fuck off.

I am 51 now amd will be renewing as per. I missed about 7 to 8 games over Jan and Feb due to illness including Madrid, Liverpool.,Newcastle and was I bothered, not really. However, the little man on my shoulder keeps saying to me that you will regret letting it go which I know is true. I work 3 out of 5.weekends but have always managed to get to most games but as you say it does become tiring in the end. Still onwards and upwards mate. Where is your ticket pal? Consider loaning it out mate there will always be someone happy to take it on.

Tbh mate I was chatting about this yesterday coming away from the match, I think CL night matches will definitely be fucked off, I will stay in the scheme but put them on the ticket exchange for the tourists unless it’s a team I’ve not watched before, I’m not ungrateful for what we’ve achieved just the opposite but the constant changing of ko times is starting to piss me off, it took 90 mins to get home yesterday due to traffic I only live in Royton! I still love watching City and get a great buzz when they score but getting older I just don’t see the pull as much as I don’t have a beer anymore as well. I’ve seen us win everything and top of the SSL3 has great bunch of people now but there’s something missing I can’t put my finger on. I’ve done my time freezing my bollocks off and getting pissed wet through getting to and from games, I’ll still do the premier league but the CL can do one.
One thing that did stick out yesterday was 4 empty seats near me, they are going to regret not giving out season tickets in the new stand and it could get embarrassing for City when a lot of seats aren’t taken up if our form doesnt pick up next season.

Went to Buxton on Friday and had a lovely time in the park, went looking for coins in that emporium on the corner and it scared me shitless trying not to knock anything expensive over because the place is that full, wife's bag was millimeters away from costing me an arm and a leg.

Or share the cost with someone and go to half the games each.

I keep telling everyone who’s thinking giving it up, not to. Like you say, they’ll never get it back.

The club won’t even give a lad, who gave his decades long season ticket up due to ill health, a season ticket again now he’s back to full health.
 
Yesterday showed how important legacy, local and UK City fans are to the team from what I've read in the atmosphere thread. Obviously, that was still with the tickets still too expensive for similar City fans priced out.

There were a lot of the usual faces missing around me in 109. And I mean a lot. Lots of families with kids though.

TBH I wasn't at the match. I couldn't get out of work.

That's good to read.

Just a hope. Maybe City are somehow selling tickets to families cheaply on the QT. Probably not, but you never know.
