From 1894, MCFC Foodbank and TUB after surveying fans again and seeing what they want to happen next. They ant pressure to remain ont he club.

Season ticket and match prize freezes the bare minimum, many issues remain unresolved.

Having spoken to members of Citymatters and with their meeting with the club on 1st May (day before Wolves) in mind we announce the following action :

villa - peaceful demo outside colin bell stand 7pm, leaflets to fans and reps from all groups on hand to discuss with fans and take feedback
(also at this game alex and brian from citymatters reps will be taking your views on this in the club shop from 6.15/6.30)

wolves - 6 min concourse protest to highlight 6 years without any new full season cards being released should the club not announce any new ones. if you take your seat as normal we ask you to remain silent.

both protests can be rescinded in the event of good news from the club, right up until kick off time on 2nd may.

On the season card matter they should issue 3k for the north stand for those aged 16 - 30 for £399 and with a promise that if certain criteria are met the price remains the same for the following two seasons. Some of the criteria could be that these tickets have to be used for 17 out of 19 PL games and can only be transferred to someone on friends and family a maximum of three times. It should be unreserved rail seating with the idea that it's the same people in the same places pretty much every game as if the ticket isn't used then it can't be renewed. We don't want people getting cheap tickets and then picking and choosing their games. I know it would be need to be discussed further but the idea is to get the younger element of our fanbase all in one large area where they can all be together with their mates. Seats would be on a first come first served basis match by match. But in the same way people had their favourite spot in the Kippax this would be similar. The club wanted a blue wall here is one way to do it.

I agree with every single word of this

I think the timing of the protests is wrong. Surely the time to apply maximum pressure and give the club time to think and make revisions is prior to the City Matters meeting. It would make more sense to pull out all the stops against Villa so they absolutely understand that there are still serious unresolved issues. Wait until Wolves and it is pretty much too late.

Agree entirely with this.
However, hate to say it but can't help but think the new North Stand (and more importantly the adjoining concessions) will be a mix of fans wanting to relocate to create an atmosphere being housed in the upper bit, and our casual fans (I avoided calling them tourists) being in the good seats etc so they can be fleeced in the hotel/concessions etc. Unfortunately this will kill any attempts at creating a blue wall.

I get the desire for an unreserved section but am cautious to get behind that. It took 22 years of campaigning just to get the standing back. One of the campaigns strong points was to still retain a specific “seat” for each individual fan for two reasons.
1. The police / club want to know exactly who is where in the ground. If someone is acting a dick in front or next to you, you can simply note the seat number and report it later without any interaction with said dickhead. The club can then take action. If it’s unreserved, it would be harder to take action / prove guilt.
2. If it is unreserved there could be a danger that more than the required number of fans are accessing some of the rows which could lead to a safety issue. And we don’t want to go down that route.

Would I like to see unreserved sections? Yes. But as I said it took 22 years just to get where we are today and a lot of compromises were made on both sides to make this happen. Keeping it as an allocated seat was one such compromise that campaigners agreed to.
That doesn’t mean it can’t change, I just feel it is too soon at the moment.

I'm guessing you have done some research on other clubs to see how we compare.

How many season tickets have the other 'big 6' clubs released in this time?
I know Liverpool released some new ones when the new stand opened but don't know other than that.

I suppose the club will argue that they did provide new full season tickets when they gave everyone who had a silver ticket the opportunity to upgrade to a gold for this season (or was it last season).

Do you go to the theatre or a big concert every 3 days or 60+ times a year?
Thats season ticket holders though that don’t in the main pay £71.That said £71 It’s too expensive for a matchday ticket, no argument from me. Again though as somebody that pays near that for games, I go to more concerts a year about 8 on average than City games about 6. I’d guess most Matchday ticket buyers are similar at around 6 games a year.

Well done. Keep it up and good luck.

I supported the 9 min boycott though slightly conflicted if continued boycotts will work( I fear less people will boycott this time and it'll be a damp squid)

The club have frozen season card prices and people will now think it's pointless boycotting. Things like viagogo and membership ticket prices won't impact 70% of the ground so they'll it's pointless to miss more of a match.
