Protest v Wolves

I don’t this it’s unreasonable at all I’m more getting at the point you said most games last season sold out but this year it was easier to get tickets
To fair most this season have. Obviously the odd game like Leicester on a midweek didn’t sell all the returned tickets including returned away tickets. Crystal Palace on Saturday was though including all the returns. So not selling out this season isn’t the big story some make it.
This season Match day buyers have had the advantage of knowing 3 weeks before the game flexi gold tickets not taken up will become available and when so that’s the main reason it’s easier this season than last.

One of our season tickets belongs to my daughter who is currently in Vancouver studying. Her seat this season has largely been transferred to one of my cousins, occasionally put on the exchange. Never empty.

If I’m reading this new rule correctly, City want her to commute at least 10 times next season (from Canada!) to attend a game in person. For what benefit exactly?

Apologies if I’m missing a nuance, but seems like another way to get season tickets off fans into the hands of “high matchday revenue” customers.
Renew as normal then ask your cousin to download the ST to her phone. Thus removing the need to keep transferring it and the ST stays in your daughter’s name.

Going by that new info out today it says if your ticket doesn’t sell on the exchange it will be sent back to you. Will this go down as a non attendance.
Thats always been the case unless it was a game where they advise that the ticket will be guaranteed pay out. usually just the big games.

Thats not true, most games sell out in the summer. Returns don’t alway sell out, depending on the game and when it’s moved to but they as good as sell out most games.
Last season there were quite a few games I was hoping for SC returns to go on the exchange but for many games they didn’t.This season has been better.
Very frustrating when they don’t get returned to the exchange then watching on telly seeing empty seats. I think the 10 games + exchange 6 is more than reasonable.
So is it not fair to say, games that do not sell out (as in there are tickets to buy for the games in the days/weeks leading to the game) should not count towards the total?

If a game truly sells out I get it. But cause the club list some tickets early in the season to create a false sense of demand, it doesn’t mean a game has sold out…

I thought once you put it on the exchange and it didn’t sell it still counted as you using your ticket.i never knew they gave the ticket back if it didn’t sell

If they give the ticket back due to it not selling and it doesn’t get used does that go down as non attendance?

I don’t think it used to but they never gave the ticket back but now they are saying they are giving it back if it doesn’t sell so maybe it will count as a non attendance

Thanks for playing devils advocate.

Perhaps she should have given up her ticket for the 3 years and just bought one back after then. Because season tickets are so freely available.

Please engage brain.

My brain is perfectly engaged thanks. And I’m well aware that giving up a season ticket, doesn’t give you a right or potentially any opportunity, to re-buy one in the future.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it myself in that position. And like you, I’d be pissed off if they put a stop to it.

But I also don’t blame the club if they don’t officially giving the green light to people to buy season tickets for years on end, with no intention of attending any games.

All the tickets are listed in the summer, most sell out. This year, some were held back for a second relesease, October I think. They sold pretty quickly too. The tickets going on sale 3 weeks before a game are SC exchange, Flexi gold not taken up and any away blocks returned, usually most of these sell, only the odd game usually night games don’t.
I’m more than happy being corrected on anything I ‘m wrong about season tickets, but I’ve been buying quite a few match day tickets for many years now, and consider myself pretty switched on ,with when the best time to buy for games, which blocks pop up is and which games sell out.

Sounds like progress mate.

Congrats to City Matters on making good progress on a number of areas, ably supported by 1894 and the City Foodbank.

Other way round I'd say. The boycotting CM reps should of course be held in high esteem for their bravery but the action came from 1894, Food Bank and TUB

I would have given Trade Union Blues credit and they probably deserve it, but I don’t know who they are yet.in addition, I’m not that keen on politicising sport.

We don’t know who was the most significant in getting this progress and all fans reps played a part.

I think you are missing the fact they take exchange tickets off sale 3 hours before kick off for example 1000+ went off sale at 9.30am against Palace. Loads of games this season have had tickets available until 3 hours before ko.

If the tickets isn't resold it's yours to use But obviously it's instantly sold for 12/19 games

I never got mine sent back I’d get an email before KO saying it wasn’t sold but my pass on the parent update and I was under the conclusion that it wasn’t a no show from me. But now they are saying they’ll send the ticket back so if it’s sent back and I can’t go is it now down as a no show

Ps have you a list of the 12 teams that are instantly sold

The ten game minimum rule you have to attend is a joke.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for 15+ years but life isn’t simple and this year I have only been to 9 games due to childcare, work and even illness.

Each time I have not been I have either transferred to a family/friend or sold it back to the club on the exchange. My seat has been filled for every league game.

It’s worked perfectly and in a few years I’ll be back to attending more or less every game (if I can continue to afford it) once life changes again.

The only benefit I can see to implementing this rule is to make people fail it and then use that season ticket seat as a match by match seat changing £70+ a game.

You buy a season ticket for 19 games that are changed left right and centre and at short notice and they expect you to drop everything in life and force you to attend.

It’s a piss take and I’ve seriously had enough. I just want to watch a football match ffs.

No doubt the retired mortgage free I’m all right jacks with grown up kids will be telling me I don’t deserve a season ticket if I can’t go every game.
