Why are you so bothered he is leaving?

One good game all season?
Couldn’t give a shit that he’s leaving, but you’re here rationing like a child that he shouldn’t be allowed to play in the PL if he wants to. When someone rations like a gimp I call them out for it.

No if you read my other post then you'd know that
Yes but he isn't going to everton as you suggested, he would want a top team, and you said it would destroy his legacy and it would, I did read it.

Destroying his legacy doesn't mean it bothers you personally

He can go and play where he likes, but going to another club in the PL after a decade with us is plain weird and for me disrespectful.

And he clearly physically is broken so I don't understand why he thinks he could go to another PL club and be a success.

The utter disrepect for kev is reminding me why i dont really miss the football side on here . He is really disappointed and surprised to be given the boot , why are people digging him out for saying it

Most of you have never deserved him

It's obvious City have a player lined up to take Kev's place, and to take the place of his wages.

I hope City get it right. We can't afford another midfield bad buy.

He can play for any club he wants to play for.(if City don't want him)

Who are you to tell him which club to play for, and where his future lies.

Lol.

He's given you and us the best 10 years of his career, brought us trophies galore, and numerous special moments on the pitch, that we'll never forget.

You are showing him disrespect.

The witch hunt begins. It's almost RAWK like on this thread,

If that’s true that signing will depend on us getting CL so there’s a lot at stake.

The days of this being a football based forum are well and truly gone, there’s more shit spoken about other things than football, pretty sad really, in fact the posters who post in such topics aren’t really arsed about football I’m sure of it to be honest.

I know me and you have clashed on here but I’m glad you are back on and hopefully feeling better by the way

So if he went and signed for Liverpool or Arsenal you would be happy?

The guy is a legend at our club, why would he want to destroy that?

Remember a certain Luis Figo, Barca then Madrid, destroyed his reputation.

I’m surprised we have not offered him a pay as you play contract or a vastly reduced salary so he could appraise and then decide if it suits him and his family.

I don’t think he warrants a continuation of his 400k deal, no criticism of him just father time catching up with him. But still Pep values his contribution, regularly picks him, over other options, so you do wonder why no offer has been made

I would be happy if he signed a new contract but not as one of our highest earners.

The odd thing in football is the players ask for more money as they go up levels in skill and contributions on the pitch.

The trouble comes, like now, when that player is a little bit injury prone and not having the smae significant contributions that have graced us for 10 years.

Are we to still pay 400k a week for this version of KDB?

This doesn't just apply to Kev either tbh but any footballer who has peaked and on the downgrade.

But we didn’t offer him anything and yet he is still making Peps starting 11 at the business end of the season? That is the surprising bit for me.

He starts over Jack Grealish, Nunes, Nico Gonzalez even Foden currently but yes doesn’t get offered a deal.

I don't understand.
Disrespect? How?

He's on £400k pw.

Being in that wage bracket means you have to absolutely and utterly earn it, be worth it, and take any criticism professionally.

It also means that once you are not earning or are worth £400k pw, the trap door opens very quickly.

He isn't worth £400k pw of the club and fans hard earned money anymore. It would be massively disrespectful of him and the club to expect the fans to sponsor his fall from grace.

And at £400kpw, you are creating a financial black hole for the club because it's finances and ability to pay new players is handcuffed by the gravitational pull that level of wage generates.

Being successful means not being able to afford sentimentality.

If you want sentimentality, there is a club down the road who's affairs & past and future prosperity is being destroyed with impressive efficiency because of it.

Football isn't a charity.

This. Kev has been paid well in excess of £100m-£150m during his time at City. He gave us his all but the club gave him more than any other top club in world football would have done.

Sergio said a few months back that he accepted the clubs decision when they decided not to renew his deal after 10 or so years being here. He even acknowledged that he respected the business decision of the club and the separation was amicable.

If we get out targets in during the summer, Kev will barely play 15 games next season. £150k is too much for that let alone upwards of £400k

No player bigger than the club, regardless of sentiment or achievements.

So would you be happy if he signed forn the rags or arsenal?
Wouldn't be bothered. The state Utd are in, he wouldn't improve them. He would weaken Arsenal. But then no statue.

No it would destroy the legacy he has built, go back home to Belgium , a year in Spain, whatever but playing for another club in the PL is wrong.
What about going back to Chelsea?

Tbf they'd be the inly ones mad enoughy to pay his wages to accummulate players for their 200 player squad.

Thanks lovely, i was so gutted that i lost interest in football the day i got gravely ill , been told it is normal to lose interest in things you loved and it could take a year to come back or maybe never, 46yrs as a blue wiped out in a second

This last week i have been reading a bit and it shocks me the disrespect and pure hatred aimed at the players by familiar names , honestly life is so fragile and if you are in a position to love city at games or from afar then enjoy it and dont get so bitter and bent out of shape about a bad season, enjoy whilst you can
