Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

January 24 to January 25 just over 42% of UK energy was provided by renewables. Thats 42% less reliance on Russian, Middle Eastern and other suppliers to give us heat and light which reduces the impact on world wide fluctuations as a result of whatever world events. Over a decade renewable energy has from some sources dropped by 88% - the decade point being a point. As time goes on with any technology economies of scale cut it - remember when a laptop cost £5k? Well a laptop with more power and functions will cost you £250 now so it isn't costing fortunes and there are obvious benefits for us the end user.
Are steel works and other high energy Businesses included in your figures? I know as domestic customers we pay some of the highest prices in the world, likewise the Steel production businesses.

So we shut down our mines and oilfields only to pa Russia and other countries to provide us with what we could have provided ourselves with... and in the case of LPG and Coal and coking coal use great big filthy diesel powered ships to do the all dirty work.... but at least we're clean eh?

I am going to vote for them..... Have you a problem with democracy and the right to vote for who you want, whatever your reason?

Or do we all have to vote Labour comrade Stalin or is it Putin?
I don’t think he was referring to you not having the right to vote, probably just a fairly accurate thought on the type of person who votes reform.

May want to check who Farage admires the most.

Nationalisation of key industries (Gas, Electric, Water, Telecommunications)
Nationalisation of National Rail Network
Nationalisation of Steel Industry

Bring Busses under Council Control and establish a "National footprint" for bus operators - equal services nationally
Link pension and benefits to taxation. (anyone in higher tax bracket cannot receive things like tax credits, WFA etc..)
Review taxation (increase tax on very high earnings/income say anything over £10m/year pay 65% + tax)
Increase Corporation tax on profitable.

There you go.... counting the first entry as four - that gives us an opening gambit of 10..... Have I got our vote?

Last time I looked Reform would cut public spending by £90 billion and cut taxes and now they will be nationalising all of the above? I guess abolishing the NHS may save a bob or two…

The words ‘magic beans’ or ‘Liz Truss economics’ come to mind.

If that’s your list and you’re planning on voting for reform, you’re essentially saying you don’t really care for the policies at all.

Who said that?

@hampshireblue asked me for MY thoughts.

Like I've said before the Labour Government won't do it and certainly the Tories won't and I'd be very surprised if Reform would. I'm not sure where your comment about Reform enters the debate - did they say the would?

Spot on..... PROTEST VOTE against the incumbent establishment!!!!

I am accused of being Right Wing by those who don't know me and clearly don't have a clue. I think my mini manifesto says otherwise...

Down here in Wales we are stuck with Labour and I want them out. I will use my vote tactically to protest, if it's alright with you guys.... let me know if you object and I'll......

Proportional representation would be good. The country would truly get what it voted for.

Yeah but why would you lend your protest vote to a party that doesn’t share any of your views on policy and would actually go further away from what you want to see? I don’t get how that makes any sense as a protest vote unless the policies themselves don’t actually matter to you.

I’d be interested to know which party this tells you aligns most with your policies

I'll check out the link in a bit and get back to you.... I have asked the very question about which party can I vote for because quite frankly I don't like any of them!!

I fully appreciate what you're saying re Reform policies but here in Wales we are well and truly stuck with Labour. The Tories have absolutely no chance BUT Reform will be the only chance of giving Labour the kick up the arse they need.... The need in the UK to stop being Tory lite and become the party of the working man. Here in Wales they really are a disgrace.

The issue to me would be though if you want labour to stop being Tory lite or shifting to the right, the last thing that would help that is voting in or for a party further right than the conservatives.

All it does is shift the Overton window further right and Labour will move with it, like they have done the last few years.

So, you’re voting to slash public spending, cut taxes, turn the NHS into the American model, but not nationalise key public services which is top of your wish list and more likely under this Govt which you loathe.

Basically, Reform is Liz Truss on steroids. How do you see that panning out and how does any of this help the average working stiff that you seem so concerned about?

I agree but, If I have left leaning views who, if there is no chance of me voting Labour should I vote for.

The only chance of de throning Labour in Wales is Reform. I know Reform are far away as possible from my ideals but Labour have been in for 25 years and absolutely devastated Wales. They have to be rid of.

I think I've said before, this country and its FPTP system is totally fucked. Wales is fucked having had a Welsh Labour Government for 25 years.
