Seat Counters - 2024/25

You misunderstood. I was referring to fathellens comment that City had added extra seats to the online Wembley allocation. They have but at the time the changes were minor.
Over 100 seats in 1 block is not minor and he was re emphasing the point that the tickets appearing at this late stage are coming from agencies returns and not from season ticket holders as you keep suggesting is the major problem on most matches.

Put a ticket for tonight on ticket exchange on Friday. As it stands I guess it’s not sold as no communication from city regarding the fact I can still use it if not sold.
Think the lack of communication is so I can’t further sell it on via other methods.
Email from city to say NOT SOLD should be received 6hours before kick off in case of change of mind or found a ‘ friend or family’ to use it.

Had that issue with the kids tickets for Leicester at home, no correspondence whatsoever, I would sell it elsewhere if you can, quite a few buyers on the Facebook page

Gamble is then that if I sell it privately and then email confirmation arrives then there’s a problem. Stil think it’s city been a bit snidey.

Blimey, this is scary . Email just arrived and they say they’re “not listening “.
It’s not sold
As far as I know, they take them off sale 3 hours before kickoff, not 6. I think the deadline for listing them is 6 hours prior, but that will be extended to 24 hours next season.

Yeah they have taken them all off. There are 5000 unsold tickets tonight apparently and that doesn’t include people who just don’t bother listing so likely to be more. Obviously the attendance will be listed as more though.

Why they don’t just have a donate any unsold tickets in the last few hours to people who live close by and can’t afford football I don’t know. I would happily give mine away for nothing to a scheme like that and I’m sure others would too.

Exactly this. If tickets are £71, the club can't resell it and a person can't go they should be able to sell it for £30/40 themselves. Somebody gets to go to a game they couldn't otherwise afford, the ticket holder gets some money back and Pep is happy the ground is full.

Because when row after row of seats, sometimes hundreds together in a block, all go on sale at the same moment, it's easy to figure out what's going on. I'll tell you one thing: season ticket holders have not returned them.
That was not how it appeared. My block is 305. It's season tickets up to about row Z, and from A to Z there were a lot of singles, doubles, triple seats etc for this fixture.

This game was rearranged at relative short notice and what I saw is consistent with out of town seasoncard holders listing their seats on the exchange

Last week - and the week before - there were rows upon rows of seats for sale towards the back of some of the 3rd tier blocks. That’s what he’s referring to. You might’ve missed it but I certainly didn’t. Of course, a significant number of fans have listed on the exchange as well - as one would expect for a twice rearranged match at relatively short notice - but that doesn’t negate the point that there were clearly several hundred tickets returned en masse from somewhere.

I get it. You believe that the club executives can do no wrong; I believe they are money-grabbing cunts who will gladly decimate our fan base for very little gain. We'll have to agree to disagree on this point.

I only looked at Villa recently because I was focused on Wembley.

I am though very familiar with blocks of empty seats at the bock of 303,304, 305, 306 that relate to non-seasoncard seats. I bought my seasoncard relatively recently in 305 on row z. That was the dividing line in that block between seasoncard and non-seasoncard sales. I agree that what we saw was consistent with tickets have been returned en masse but I think the most likely explanation is seasoncard resales. I could see the seasoncards of my neighbours in 305. They don't come for midweek games but usually they get sold on the exchange.

You don't have a clue what I think about our owners. For years I have been critical of our executive because I know who they are and what they represent. I think they run City as a commercial operation just like all the other Premier League clubs. Some fans want them to change their spots. They won't. The only way to get cheap tickets is through regulation, or by protests.

The way to make an interpretation is to make observations, and then make an interpretation that is consistent with that observation. Some people are allowing their suspicions to get the better of them and to over-interpret what they see. That's a very common behaviour.

Thank you. I noticed that City added some extra seats today so we have sold a small number of seats but there has been no late surge which we were hoping for.

Your last paragraph refers to yourself.
You clearly are not thick but you are clearly blinkered and you clearly have little knowledge of this topic.

So you can't go, you've got no mates or family to give it to and then City don't sell it, and it's their fault? Fs...
