In my case, I can’t afford to do more than one evening match a season because it needs an overnight stay on top of the train fare. Why are so many season ticket holders selling tickets for tonight?

Because a lot of seasoncard holders can't get to the game because it's in midweek. This game was re-arranged because both clubs are in the FA Cup semi-finals.Why are so many season ticket holders selling tickets for tonight?
Tbf hardly anyone on here had a clue how few games quite a lot of season card holders were going to.Agree with all what you’ve said - but this is also the by product of failing to engage with supporters. Treating supporters with contempt for years ends up with thousands losing interest.
The tone deaf Viagogo and seasoncard usage requirement for next year press releases tell you that nobody at City in the boardroom or in the PR team has a clue about reading the room or keeping fans onboard. They just don’t get it.
The empty seats tonight and Sunday will hopefully have some shitting their pants in our boardroom about our shiny new stand being empty.
My excuse is that I'm currently in PragueWhy are so many season ticket holders selling tickets for tonight?
It must be really souless in some parts of the ground, in 315 around me we have near enough a full compliment every game....I'd guess on average 95% attendance over the season.Tbf hardly anyone on here had a clue how few games quite a lot of season card holders were going to.

Inconsequential changes so far.Lots more tickets added for the semi final, probably agency returns, not looking good

I’ve sold mine. Not worth 2 days off work, 100 quid in petrol etc.
Feel completely disengaged with the club currently.
Totally naive but I would have moved heaven and earth to get there, only a few years ago, but it felt, again naively, that the clubs and fans were in it together.
Now, although a friend, has taken seat my seat I will take a perverse sense of satisfaction if the club gets a bloody nose after charging those ticket prices.
If they treat you like customers eventually you end up behaving like them.
No us tourists are totally fed up with it. Seems ages since we won a trophy :-)You're not local -:)

I'm sure there are many season tickets on the exchange, and I don't deny that it's a problem, but so are the resale sites, and it's clear that they're giving them far more than they admit. It seems highly likely that the bulk of the seats online are from season ticket exchanges. That is a big enough problem in of itself without inventing some other cynical explanation.
Inconsequential to you and doesn't suit the narrative that you are currently peddling .Inconsequential changes so far.
The matchday bus is very goodThe main factor for me in deciding to go to night matches is:
METROLINK
They should read this post and get the message! Absolutely agree. Needless to say my £71 ticket didn’t sell!I’ve sold mine. Not worth 2 days off work, 100 quid in petrol etc.

They might be, but how do you conclude that?I'm sure there are many season tickets on the exchange, and I don't deny that it's a problem, but so are the resale sites, and it's clear that they're giving them far more than they admit.
You misunderstood. I was referring to fathellens comment that City had added extra seats to the online Wembley allocation. They have but at the time the changes were minor.Inconsequential to you and doesn't suit the narrative that you are currently peddling .
Ticket agencies returns are where the majority of tickets that appear in the couple of weeks before a match are coming from and they are now filtering them onto various blocks for the semi final.
You are making it sound as if you are in the know about the inner workings of the ticket office and it's procedures, you clearly aren't, but there are a couple people on here who are .
And if they have indicated, what in the majority of cases is going on with returns, I would advise that you don't dismiss them.
