Never a pen for me, Dias got the ball which everyone managed to miss. That and being ran into rather than the opposite means it shouldn't have been given.

Fucking awful game otherwise. So sloppy. There's loads of space if patience is shown, but we just aren't passing and moving enough. We keep forcing things.

The angle he was running on and the fact his touch didn’t really move the ball at all, I agree with them tbh. Thought it was a pen in real time and do after every replay.

Think we've limited Villa quite well. They've created very little themselves, other than a couple of overloads, and Ortega has been fairly inactive apart from that one he stopped with his feet.

Fwiw I think it was a penalty - yes Dias gets a touch on the ball but he's still cleaned him out. This is why I can't allow myself to get on the Nunes train - he's always got a braindead moment in him.

But as solid as we've been at the back, we have really lacked quality going forward.

McAtee isn't up to it, De Bruyne is running on fumes, Gundogan has vanished into the background somewhere. Marmoush is huffing and puffing but he's getting no help. Bernardo is busy but isn't really being given any runs to aim for. Think Nico for Gundogan and Doku for McAtee changes this a bit.

Agree. If these protest keep failing to work, 1894 should organise that NO ONE turns up for one game. I know the team needs the support, but it’s for the greater good.

I thought we played reasonably well that half. Better than I expected anyway.

Marmoush has looked lively and did well for our goal. IIRC their 'penalty' came from a sloppy pass by Nunes that set up the counter.

KDB and Gundogan not really doing enough and McAtee again really failing to Mae much if an impression. I'd look at replacing 2 of those at least. Kovacic and Bernardo have done ok and Gvardiol and O'Reilly have been decent.

Keep it a bit tighter at the back, more dynamism going forward and this is a game that we should win really.
