Vardy leaving Leicester after 13 years

I'd give Vardy the nod over Lineker personally more based on longevity than quality
I'd give Vardy the nod just to boil Linekers piss to be honest.
Joking aside though to complete the journey he did was incredible - comic book stuff really.
Yes he had pace - but plenty have had that and not put up his numbers.
Not sure I'll forgive him that hat trick against us in 20/21 mind :D

honestly, never played for us, been a ****, leicester are cunts especially their owners.
so not really arsed ;-)

Great player for Leicester who made the most of his talent eventually but I totally agree about Leicester. They are cunts - backstabbing, spoiled brat fans who couldn’t wait to get rid of Ranieri, and the owners stabbed City in the back as one of the Nasty Nine.

He better play two more times, and score two more goals to bring up 200 goals and 500 appearances for Leicester, otherwise his stats will forever piss me off.

One of the greatest English strikers of all time.

Scored 100 Premier League goals after the age of 30, a Premier League title and an FA Cup to show for it.

From the non-league to Premier League champion in four years.

26 England caps is a crime for which Hodgson and Southgate should be put in front of the Hague.

A great striker, who really lived the dream.

A similar story to Stuart Pearce, though it’s unclear whether Steptoe hates City with the same passion as Psycho.

To be honest I don't dislike Lineker the same as everybody else. Italia 90 was my first football memory (I was 5 at the time) and Lineker was my favourite player as he scored most of the goals.

This then turned to David White, but we didn't really have a representative in the England team at the time so Lineker remained my favourite player for England for another couple of years.

I didn't realise people did dislike him

Certainly would have been better for him to leave for Arsenal all those years ago for his England chances, and personal glory and fortune...but instead decided to stay and help Leicester win an FA Cup and qualify for European competition multiple times.

Credit where it is due.
Very rare to see that type of loyalty at "smaller" club in todays game.

Leicester were Vardy.. They had other good players but it was Vardy imo that carried them to the success they had. Now he's gone they will be too. I don't see them as a force ever again now.

I'm sure Peter Shilton and Gordon Banks would have something to say about
He did more than those two combined for Leicester. Him, Mahrez and Kante won the toughest league in the world. Then at the end of his career he took them back up to the PL.

Gordon and Peter won a charity shield, a 2nd div title and the keague cup combined whilst playing for thr foxes
