Injuries 2024/25 | Ake & Bobb return to training

A beautiful sight. Hope we take easy with him
Think we probably already are. Should he play any minutes before the end of season only the medical staff and physios and those watching him train can answer that. I’m certainly not qualified or in any position to know or have any opinion, but trust those that are to do what they think best. Doubt there is any pressure from Pep to play him because it’s unlikely he’d start any games.

I hope to god he comes back strong and doesnt breakdown or anything, we really need him back next season, could care less if he plays until August now, just ease him back and wrap him in cotton wool

It looks tight for the Cup Final:

Friday 2nd May Wolves H
Sat 10th May Southampton A
Sat 17th May Cup Final N

He would ideally need some preparatory competitive games. What we don't know is how long he has been in training. I think he might have been training individually and with the players for a while with City keeping quiet about it.

Not a chance he plays in the cup final after his injury and time out.
He will be more at risk of muscuar injuries due to the time on the sidelines. Just build him up and go next season

When you say ‘not a chance’ you know that’s not true? There’s a big chance.
Like you, I hope he gives himself time but he probably will get some minutes in the final.

He’s in full training now.
The cup final is 3 week away.

However, I agree and would like him to train all summer and get ready for next season but that won’t happen. He’s a professional and mentally he’ll be dying to get back out there.

We won’t see him anywhere near the Rodri we expect till after Christmas anyway.

The BBC article on Haaland says,

"Sources say the Club World Cup in June is a realistic timeframe for his (Rodri) return to action, rather than the remaining four games of the Premier League campaign or the FA Cup final."

I think its inevitable he will tweak something but as long as its nothing serious. I can see Pep being extra careful with his load
