HahaNo " Its a knockout" then ;-) Or coach leaving the teams Hotel .
David Silva has already left the buildingMiss saying bye and respecting the best player we have ever had... no chance of me ever doing that
Wasn’t all good - didn’t the rags win a couple of semis at our place. Sat in our seats, celebrating on our pitch.Haha
The draw for the Third Round used to be an event in itself, and strangely it went shite from the moment Ted Croker and the pompous anonymous blazers with the velvet bag were replaced by Terry Venables and Bruce Forsyth trying to be funny
All the games being played at the same time gave the day a sense of occasion
Then there were the epic replays (Sheffield Wednesday v Arsenal 1979 etc) and I remember attending heartbreaking Second Replay defeats to Watford and Millwall
Semi Finals at Villa Park or Hillsborough and (quite often in the 70s) Maine Road.
Whoever reached the Final would promptly put all their eggs in one basket and lose all their remaining league fixtures
Bournemouth 9 Margate 0 and Ted McDougall
Chris Kelly aka the Leatherhead Lip scoring at Filbert Street
The invasion of the parkas at Edgar Street.
Dickie Guy saving a penalty
Brian Talbot and John Wile literally spilling blood for the cause.
White pitches and orange balls.
Elland Road and "This game will be finished even if it takes till midnight"
I'm guessing the last real Final was the Gazza self inflicted injury farce, but since then the competition has been diluted and bastardised to such an extent that I've actually missed a few and would struggle to remember which team ultimately won.
I will respect him at Wembley or Fulham if I manage to get tickets for that game .Miss saying bye and respecting the best player we have ever had... no chance of me ever doing that
It should go to members I reckon…Been onto my contact at the Durham County FA to see about getting tickets. He no longer works for them as the Fa have done away with their councillors in preparation of the regulators being imposed. He is now getting in touch with any contacts he has. So, it looks like I will miss this game. Mind you I have always been against all these tickets not going to proper match going fans so really can't complain.
It's true Palace have got the WEST end leaving us the crappy bars, oh well.Had a message this evening from someone who has a box at wembley.
3pm..We have been allocate the East side.
Dont shoot the messenger.
I went to one as an Oldham fan for the day, vomit inducing seeing the fat rag fans in our seatsWasn’t all good - didn’t the rags win a couple of semis at our place. Sat in our seats, celebrating on our pitch.
I’m pleased that doesn’t happen anymore
Crystal club? Horrendous that place. Drinking near Wembley is a big no from me.It's true Palace have got the WEST end leaving us the crappy bars, oh well.
Good job I don't drink then mateIt's true Palace have got the WEST end leaving us the crappy bars, oh well.
JJ Moons is brilliant, shame we haven't got that againCrystal club? Horrendous that place. Drinking near Wembley is a big no from me.
The unlucky end! Noooo! It says that 133 and are dedicated singing section which is the westside. Our end on Sunday. So looks like we're in the eastside
It is what it is. They created history a week before, so I can forgive them.Players still recovering from celebrating the title win. No way they'd have done/been allowed to do that if the league was still on the line the following week or it was the Champions League final and not the FA Cup final the following week. Very annoying when you spent hundreds of pounds going to it and setting off in the wee hours and getting back about 20 or so hours later when the players hadn't even prepared properly.
We'll be in the one in Ruislip then get train in late on.JJ Moons is brilliant, shame we haven't got that again
We are staying in Hillingdon so it will probably be the one in Uxbridge for us then train inWe'll be in the one in Ruislip then get train in late on.
