Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Labour and Tories and its supporters remind me of the cartel in the Prem. Deluded and stuck in the past.

They are both that far removed from the working man they have no idea whats going on. They thought it would just be them forever.

And similar to the cartel calling City “Cheats”, LabCon call Reform “Racists”. Thinking if they shout it loud enough thatll do.

Im pretty apolitical, no party has a manifesto that i like i its entirety and am the ultimate floating voter.
I voted Labour last time to get the first ever Labour MP in my constituency in and the lazy Con MP out. Ive also voted Con in years gone by.

Probs wouldnt vote Reform but wouodnt count it out if both the main parties dont get a fuckin grip about whats going on out there

Theyve lost touch totally and are rightky getting a bloody nose.
Good

A winning Reform candidate, Dame Seventeenth Century, said: “Inch by inch we will reset Britain to its glorious past.” Jeez, god help us. This is straight Maga style nonsense.
How will they do this? Go to war with the French? Enter the race to colonise Africa? Do a deal with Hitler to betray the Czechs? Restage the Industrial Revolution? Return to the Divine Right of Kings? Re-invent the Corn Laws? Bring back the Death Penalty? Invoke the old Offside Law? Send asylum seekers to Australia? Make gay sex a crime?
What the fuck is she talking about? Answer: she hasn’t the faintest idea.

I am saddened and troubled by the rise of Reform.
People in my own family will their success, just as they voted for Brexit.
Now Brexit has failed, they blame others.
If I ask what policies of Reforms they support, they cannot really say.
Sad, sad, sad.

Sadly this is what you get when the mainstream political parties fail to listen to the electorate. A bunch of racist pricks making more empty promises, but in the eyes of some at least its a different bunch. Yes there is certainly an element of social media and sensationalism in the press which this lot latch onto, but Labour and the Torys don't help themselves with U turns and failing to live up to expectations, whilst continuously looking after the ultra wealthy and banking institutions.

By the end of the next parliament we will have had more than 20 yrs, following the banks greed driven, self inflicted 2008 crash, of "things will get better but its difficult". That's nearly a quarter of average life expectancy. Is it any wonder people might be getting a little impatient and making irrational decisions ?

Well it looks like I have about 4 years to sort out my affairs before I have to move to Europe so that my wife and in-laws don’t end up in whatever our version of an El Salvador gulag will be.

I would say something like “Labour needs to get a grip of the situation and do something to help people with the cost of living and reduce immigration”… but we’ve all learned from our Trumpian cousins over yonder that if they did it wouldn’t matter one jot. Right wing populism isn’t about facts. Labour could bring immigration back down to the lowest levels in decades, we could have record high minimum wage, GDP ramping up, record house building… none of it will actually matter.

Honestly, the best thing Starmer could do is implement PR. Which might get Reform more seats in the short-term but we’ve seen in some European countries, they would need >50% of the vote to gain full unfettered control of the government, which is very difficult if not impossible to achieve.

quick Q...you would escape dear old Blighty to Eurpoe, which is pretty much all swinging in the same direction?

Plenty of reasons for it, they vary between the towns and the rural areas but both have demographics that make it ripe for Reform.

Not surprised at all they’ve done well.

Agreed. Very rural and with a higher proportion of residents aged 65 and over than the national average. Used to visit relatives there. Thankfully, they moved :)

Look at the thugs behind Farage......................what does it remind you of?

To be fair, pretty much big standard security these days for politicians unless of course the meat heads that get paid to protect Starmer are somehow more virtuous than those who get paid to protect Farage?

You’re in Lincolnshire? I’m not far away and go there a fair bit, you’re in reform core territory there, the towns at least.
I'm based in Notts but work through Lincolnshire on a regular basis. As you say it feels like it's ground zero for Reform.

Never thought about that.............I just don't trust their agenda.

Strangling the winter fuel payment energised enough apolitical 50 odd % of the electorate who traditionally ignore local elections to turn out and punish labour.
