Florian Wirtz

He got 10 goals and 20 assists, an assist record that stood until Muller narrowly beat it a few years ago with 21.

Wirtz had I think 11 and 11 last season, slightly worse this year but the season isn’t finished and Leverkusen aren’t as good.

I wonder how much KDB would go for back then in today’s market.
I know it isn’t all about stats but MGW is on 5 goals 7 assists playing in the same position, not too far behind Wirtz this season and in a much more demanding league.

It took KDB like 6 years to match his 20 assists in the premier league.

What would MGW get in the Bundesliga?

I wish people would dampen their expectation with replacing Kev. We won’t see a player like him again for years.

Honestly can’t understand why a player wouldn’t test themselves. Eric Dier has looked half decent in that shitty league. Grow a pair
And here we have the little Englander attitude summed up. "That shitty league" - where we've signed Sane, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Akanji, Ortega, Dzeko, Marmoush, Kompany, Haaland, Gvardiol from and not a single one of those has come from Bayern Munich. Not that poor a league is it?

That’s quite some list bud! Don’t remember too many flops either even the likes of boateng we got ok money for when it didn’t quite work out.

Kev could play precision passes and through balls on the sprint. It's such a unique skillset, that got him those few extra assists that other players wouldnt get which set him apart from the rest . What we really need from his replacement is someone with also unique skill set or someone who can replace some of those assists kdb had with goals instead.

It's worth mentioning that KDB wasn't shy of a goal or two himself. There was a period where if you got him in the right position on the edge of the box, you were almost guaranteed a shot on target. He scored every other game in 21/22 and so many big goals over the years too. But there was a time when we were wondering how we'd replace David Silva, but we managed it. And with someone who was a different style too.

Nabeel owns Cityreport one the City news aggregators on twitter. Not sure how well connected he is but interesting nonetheless.

He’s got contacts, mostly to do with Saudi but he does get info. I did say to that Arsenal fan on here. All it has to do with Wirtz is game time to play in the World Cup and a very good coach.

The Pep factor will be massive here. No offence to Kompany but Kompany doesn’t have the list of accomplishments and trophies yet that Pep does.

What is it with German players and parents dictating their moves?

We had this with Sane's mum.
His Dad is his agent...that said who knows what his dad is saying to him. It isn't like they are publicizing their private conversations. Some of this his dad wants him to go here or there might be a media creation or how people are perceiving him.

In the German press, I am sure it was said that his Dad and the family support Bayern and they also think for the benefit of the national team it's best he goes Bayern.
