Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The win is great. 3 very valuable points and a decent run of Ws.

Some of the play was decent. Most was awful.

But the result is the most important thing.

I just hope the results of late don't disguise how awful we still are and how much hard work is needed to be contenders next season.

Just got home. I knew it would be tight! Just wish we took our chances especially first half with the 3 in one off the post, line and blocked. Bellegarde should have shot instead of passing it across to Munetsi who is a willing runner but quality on the ball is frustrating.

Cunha played well some nice turns hit the post second half but we again just let you have the ball second half, went for it too late and ran out of time. Appreciate the atmosphere tonight second half, just the cokeheads in the corner need to calm down a little.

Because City players, very rarely, "milk" any bad challenges.
Thought Wolves were very good tonight, but even they tried to get free kicks and potential City bookings, whenever they could.
All new City signings are swiftly told not to dive or attempt to get an opponent booked.
This honest approach is seldom celebrated by the Media.
Obviously, I am biased, but few managers instruct their players to be honest and sporting, but Pep does.
Compare this instruction to that of Ancelotti.
The behaviour of the Real Madrid is atrocious, but "King Carlos" endorses it...
Very true, see United’s 72m striker who went down quicker than Monica Lewinsky to pretty much cement United’s place in the Europa final to zero media criticism

It really was not. Yes you had a couple of chances but hitting the post is not a shot on target and you created nothing in the second half. The Cunha shot that hit the post would have been saved by Ederson if it were other side of the frame. And you conveniently omit that you should have been down to 10 men for a disgraceful studs in tackle.

Disgrace decision from referee not to show red card !! We all know city didnt play at their best ,but we got 3 points and it didnt matter at the end ,but this was a fcking red care every day of the week...

No red for that tackle was a disgrace was at game and was awful, no further proof that City are officiated differently compared to others, we don't get penos but have the most bizzare ones given against us, we get easy yellows against us but teams can basically assault our players at will. I am totally fuming over this constant BS.
Even Jamie Carrighar believes it should have been a red. As you say - one rule for us and a different one for the teams in red, especially the rags.

To be fair, if red given that tw@t would have been moaning only a yellow.
Your point is valid though

The folk memory clicks in and we finish the season like a train.
A bit of a wonky train tbh, but 3 POINTS.
Chelsea have a bastard fixture list, we are very close now.

A soild if not spectacular victory.
Was impressed.with Nunes at right back apart from his last 5 mins where he seemed to have forgottrlen how to pass or control a ball.
Another victory and i think c.league is secure.
Shoen some real determination over the past months.
Great atmosphere 2nd half in sl3 aswell.
Glad I took part in the protest regardimg ticket pricing. Unless more get involved and losemthe 'im alright Jack' attitide I fear that it may fall on deaf.ears. Anyway on we go

I thought that was a great performance n the sense of Wolves we aggressive and played to win. We were resilient and our desire is very much evident again. Bernardo and Kovacic are doing sterling work in that partnership and both look better alongside each other. How versatile is Bernardo, he’s effective playing DM. Atmosphere was excellent well done the South Stand. The smaller the crowd the better the atmosphere seems to get.
