For the 1st time ever I am considering actually not going. Really hacked off being basically treated as a 2nd class citizen now because I actually follow my team home and away.
East end adds another 10 mins on getting out.
Last train is 20.31..totally fucked timewise even with no e.t game will finish at 6.20 to 6.25pm. If e.time then 7.30pm before we get out.
Oh yeah lets go and win the cup but not see the trophy lift as we have to get the train. Did that for chelsea in league cup and was gutted.
Everyone then vying to get back to euston. After trophy lift which means another 20 to 30 mins post match. Ticket is 75 notes and 65 For my youngest. Train is 80 notes return. Its not even the money its the principle of us being fucked around by tv companies so they can maximise viewing figures for the fucking eurovision song contest and to maximise advertising revenues.
Yeah could easily stay over with even more expense but why the fuck should I have to.
Fuck the FA and fuck tv companies
I've made the decision not to go to this.

The reason 4:30 has been chosen is that ITV have worked out that people who watch a game that kicks off at 3pm tend to do something else after the game finishes and fewer people watch the more valuable (for advertising revenue) evening programmes.

With a 4:30 kick-off more people tend to stay tuned in, meaning higher advertising revenue. The convenience of football fans takes second place to ITV 's advertising revenue. I'm getting more and more fucked off with football.

And how much were tickets back then? How would they have felt if the time for that game wasn’t known until 2 weeks before, world was a different place then thank fuck and fans weren’t treated like shit and asked to pay a fortune for the pleasure
Fans weren’t treated like shit? Remember the bogs behind the Kippax? Never mind Bradford and Hillsborough.

Drive to Gerard’s Cross. Park up. 38 minutes train. Wembley.

City win the cup with KDB Hat-trick.

Leave Wembley. 38 minutes train to Gerrard’s Cross. Drive home.

DISGUSTING !

And yes, those are ‘all’ City tickets … WTF

Was thinking of taking my lad as he's never been before and it's half term that week.

Doing some quick maths for tickets, trains food ect it'll cost me about £550.

For that price I can take him and me to Gran Canaria for a week as I have family who Iive there so free accommodation, cheap flights and we watch the game in the sun and I'll spend less than £500 in a week and get a decent holiday.

Football pricing is on its arse and it's near to breaking point

Bicester is a good option too. They do group save tickets so you can get 4 tickets for £25 each and straight to Wembley Stadium station in an hour.

I drove to Stafford (from Warrington) last year and got the train from there. 50 min drive, parked on Tesco and 1hr 17 to Euston. They have a train back at 9pm.

it is and I totally agree but in a year he will have forgotten all about Gran Canaria. In 50 years he will still remember his first cup final with his dad! I remember 81 like it was yesterday.

Match tickets from £50 and £40. Coach travel £55 and £45 with the club. Probably cheaper with supporters clubs.
