Am no great admirer of these two with their whacked out, neoliberal-lite policies, but as I partly explained a few pages back, Trickle—Down (as favoured by Reform and Truss) doesn’t either.

The voting figures on Thursday might be a sort of indicator.... unless you want to ignore them, which of course you are free to do.

Of course an average of 25% of an average 30% turnout in the mayoral elections is a silent majority!

Actually the silent majority (70%) didn’t vote, and 7.5% of the total electorate voted Reform. Can’t be arsed checking but I suspect the council elections were similar.

Even if we look at the parliamentary election they got 37% of a 46% turnout which is about 17% of the electorate.

I’m not trying to delegitimise the result like all the bellends were doing with Labour’s low vote share in the GE but it’s far from a silent majority as was stated earlier.

If you want to go and live off grid in the middle of nowhere they have their uses, the thought of using them to power a country is completely ridiculous. The UK hasn't had a coherent energy policy in over 40 years.
