Everyone pays for those services through regular taxation, and VAT. I pay tax here, and in the UK. Like I say, I don't know how they do it, but they do.

We even have real people read the electric and water meters every month, and it's still a damned site cheaper.

We also spend more than 'the natives', of which my wife is one, so are doing our bit towards it.

I'll tell my mum that it isn't the council that put charges against their home before my father died of dimensia. That should make her happy hey ?

Don't understand how so many people get taken in by this con artist & grifter Farage & his side-kick Richard Tice. He's already wrecked this country once through Brexit & people are willing to put their faith in him again. This has parallels with Trump in America. He was a disaster in his first term yet people still voted for him. The fact that Farage is a fan boy of Trump & is always praising him should be a red flag to any same person. Farage is a **** just like his idol. People expect Starmer to have a manage wand & be able to put right 14 years of neglect, a disastrous Brexit, councils having budgets cut by nearly 30 per cent in less than a year. It will taken I reckon not one term but two terms to right all the wrongs done in the last 14 years. Now Reform have control of some councils let's see what miracles they can perform with drastically reduced budgets. It won't take long for reality to hit them in the face.

The problem is the ordinary folk who live in normal areas are getting fed up with the country being overrun and are looking for change I mean at this rate can you imagine what it will be like in 5 years . Immigration as always been here and it wasn’t a problem but now Britain is not even Britain anymore and that is why people are turning .
 
To state the obvious, something has gone wrong, badly wrong, with the UK. I'm pretty much as big a democrat as you can find but I am going through a 'crisis of faith' with democracy itself. Instead of the masses choosing political leadership that we all get behind we have ended up just squabbling like a nursery filled with 3 year olds. Worse than that, because of social media we now have plenty of lunatics (of all political persuasions) just peddling their own prejudices as fact. It's madness, complete madness, the only way any society can progress and survive is by compromise. None of us are completely right but none of us are completely wrong either. We seem to have lost respect for each other as individuals, no political party can fix that.

Morning, Paul. Can I ask what area you live in? I only ask as I live in a normal area where I see immigration who live in nice houses, work in decent jobs, and fill vital roles within our communities.

One can only assume that these people are part of the plan to fill roles that we are short of, attaining visas applied for by their employers. Is it these people that are swamping your area, or is it asylum seekers?

If this is true, I think we all need to know.

We don't have a democracy to lose faith in unfortunately. If we did people might feel they at least have a say.

Anyhow I think family are the biggest drivers of one's attitudes, after that it's up to the individual to find their own truth which can be difficult if they use and accept the shite on social media.

Never accept what someone says unless you know why they are saying it.

Morning mate . I’m in Doncaster and it’s got terrible . Always been multi ethnic with Indian and Pakistani residents who have always worked and contributed but now even they are now are getting upset at what’s coming now . Every 3 shops is either a Turkish hairdressers European food shop and iPhone repair shop and full of Roma begging and harassing residents. Sorry if I offend people on here but it’s my opinion .

I’m 54 now and I’ve lived a lot of my life with I might add a lot of European friends as my history is dual nationality so I’m not racist by any stretch . As I said earlier I’m not racist but I’m sick of seeing fucking Rona gypsies Turning neighbour hoods into shitholes .
