Perhaps it’s the price of too much success, fans picking and choosing if to go to a FA Cup final or not.The fucking state of this thread. Absolutely embarrassing. Too many just can’t be arsed; want chauffeuring to their seats, want it all to match their own agenda. It’s the FA cup final. On a Saturday. At 4:30pm. Loads of travel options- car, coach, train.
But they’d rather wallow in self-pity and make out it’s akin to being sent to the front line without a rifle at Passchendale.
You don’t deserve this success.
I don’t think bluemoon is a direct reflection of all City’s fanbase. If it was Pep would be long gone, every player that ever played for us would have been sold after their first month and the stadium would be constantly half empty. The fucking state of this thread. Re your first couple of sentences there mate, just looking at the bottom of the page, the forum has over 80,000 members, yet the sort of posts you’re referring to, are made by a really tiny proportion of that - I’m estimating here, but maybe the same few posters who are very prolific - less than 50?I don’t think bluemoon is a direct reflection of all City’s fanbase. If it was Pep would be long gone, every player that ever played for us would have been sold after their first month and the stadium would be constantly half empty.
That said it’s fine if they can’t go, someone else will have their ticket who would otherwise have had no chance and have a great day out…if we win! I can see the financial argument but not the logistical one. Anyone that’s never been to Wembley reading this must think it’s like climbing Mount Everest…it’s not by the way it’s very easy if you haven’t been before.
Personally I think they will sell out no problem as all FA Cup finals do.
I have to agree with you here. It does seem that we have become a fan base who want to constantly moan about everything. I fully support the protests at the Etihad, and stayed on the concourse, but all this anger about the cup final seems a bit contrived. The FA Cup final is a big national occasion, you can’t expect the whole thing to organised around our preferences, it just isn’t realistic. The fucking state of this thread. Absolutely embarrassing. People are broke. This isn't rocket science, its effecting every single part of society. And while they can get by on a season ticket or can choose to pay £100 for the Villa game outside it, asking them to pay even more and more and more has become unsustainable.Perhaps it’s the price of too much success, fans picking and choosing if to go to a FA Cup final or not.
You lot…hilariousPeople are broke. This isn't rocket science, its effecting every single part of society. And while they can get by on a season ticket or can choose to pay £100 for the Villa game outside it, asking them to pay even more and more and more has become unsustainable.
Someone up there spoke about being sheltered. Football fans are the most sheltered people in the world. The entire live entertainment industry is going through an attendance crisis. The cost of living and inflation is through the roof. The lowest 30% of this country say they can barely afford essentials such as food and bills. And during these societal issues, we've seen corporate football entities introduce the largest price rises in the history of professional football.
But no, you lot keep banging on about other Blues being "spoilt". Thats the real problem, not the systemic and ongoing collapse of the economy. It's other fans fault.
Seeing how many Blues have literally tried to turn on people because they're standing up to a near billion pounds hugely profitable trillionaire owned business is absolutely disgusting. As a Mancunian, someone who comes from a place where protesting for the people against the upper classes is literally built into the fabric of this city, it disgusts me.
Thankfully your grandfathers and grandmothers had stronger stomachs and didn't turn on their own, otherwise we'd still be doing 90 hours a week in a factory while women weren't allowed to vote. (Thats supposed to be something we don't want).
Ha ha you talk like we have a functioning public transport system like an normal country, we don't we have a shit one that constantly cancels services, overbooks and charges extortionate rates. The fucking state of this thread. Don't be swayed by all these 'I remember my first cup final' Johnny's.I get that mate I really do but I can't justify that price for one day. He's only just started to get into football over the last few months (he's 11) plus I don't live with him so if I offered he the choice I'm sure he'd take a week away with me plus my last holiday was in 2022! I'll speak to him later about it
No he is actually correct. You lot…hilarious
I’m not saying if he is correct or not just simply the way he described Blues as…you lotNo he is actually correct.
The whole enrertainment industry is going overboard with prices, be it thaetre, cinema, concerts, sports including football, there is a widening disparity between reasonable pricing and extortionate fees many woth added charges.
Concerts for example, a ticket can be advertised at £45. but will be in fact £20 more with agent, venue fees etc
Cinema peices have jumped to ridiculous amounts from pre Covid.
Many people with do these activities are doing so on a regular basis and lime football you don't abandon you favourite band(s) or miss a tour.
So itnis time people started saying we won't be fleeced anymore, or we can carry on and belittle anyone unwilling to conform and pay what they are told to.
Neither would this one cost anywhere near 500 quid for 1 adult and 1 junior if you didn't want it to.Don't be swayed by all these 'I remember my first cup final' Johnny's.
I remember mine in 1974 (league cup v wolves) I don't know how much I paid but it wasnt £550 !
Prices are stupid and 7 days with your son, in the pool, having fun is a far better deal.
Football is being consumed by greed
ok thought you were dismissing people genuine concernsI’m not saying if he is correct or not just simply the way he described Blues as…you lot
If the cup final is a national occasion why is it not at 3pm.?I have to agree with you here. It does seem that we have become a fan base who want to constantly moan about everything. I am pretty sure that in 2011, having not had a cup final for 30 years, we would have sold out without complaint if it had kicked off at midnight.
You see here's the thing.You lot…hilarious
Yes, "you lot", as in "you group of people who are opposing this".I’m not saying if he is correct or not just simply the way he described Blues as…you lot
