Same mistake the Democrats have made in the US. Luckily for you guys, the three (now, I suppose, four) party system should keep them out of power unless they gain a lot of Labour support or the Tories collapse completely.

many local councils or counties have their own flag particularly flown on their day - for instance 1st August is Yorkshire Day - so the LA's they run will now be barred from flying their own flags. If Trump snuffs it they will have to fight the urge to fly the stars and stripes at half mast - its yet another knee jerk ill judged headline grabber

You do know that, like Putin, Orbán wins rigged elections and that every 'electorate' loves an autocratic leader, until the second they are deposed? And then they are despised. But I'm surprised you didn't namecheck that other much-loved dictator Kim Jong-il just for good measure!

which they have now started to reverse - you can fly county flags too. By Friday Farage will deny it ever happened
