Serious question mate, do you see it as a negative if it moves to China for bigger prize money, for me its shit that tradition can be bought, but it will also develop the sport?
As much as people don't like it, foreign investment in sport is no bad thing IMO. But the investors want something in return.
Boxing is a prime example, since the Saudi's have taken over, They have got the deals done for the top fights to happen, and Boxers are now earning more in for one fight arranged by Turki Al-Sheikh than they could imagine!
Money in sport is fantastic, when it's invested in the sport the right way!
Four within a 2 mile radius of me. fucking expensive now though. No more 20p for the lights.
He placed bets for others, probably under pressure from Liang Wenbo.
Also he tried to talk Yan Bingtao out of doing what he did to no avail.
Do you have any evidence that he bet on fixed matches, as the WST don’t seem to.
Bets on non-fixed matches, yes. What you are accusing him of, no.they do know about it, and the report found him placing bets from them years
Don't worry. Snooker is quite a minority sport in China. The way I see it is. Snooker can not be a big arena sport ? its not darts, that fans go for a piss up and standing a big arena making noise and watching on a big screen,
Yes, investment in snooker is welcome, moving the world championship because of the size will happen if Sheffield council doesn't revamp the Crucible and add 2000 seats, The world championship has not always been at Sheffield.
It was held in Manchester, so tradition must evolve and keep up with modern times.
I fear China taking over Snooker and taking all the big tournaments from the UK, once they get the World Championship Snooker, then it will die in the UK, Winning £500.000 for last night's winner will be a drop in the ocean once China take over, $5million to $10million for the winner and that is just the beginning.

Some trick shot that.I think it's growing fast, the Pool players are looking over their shoulders

Also, snooker is part of the curriculum in Chinese schools where it is viewed as equal to athletics, football etc.Snooker's popularity has boomed in China -It has been estimated that 50 million people play the sport, up to 350 million watch it and China has 300,000 snooker halls.
UK has around 650.
More people watch PL, but you know China's football is ...a joke. Most people just watch, very few people are willing commit to train.(Or let their chiledren to become a professional player.)Snooker's popularity has boomed in China -It has been estimated that 50 million people play the sport, up to 350 million watch it and China has 300,000 snooker halls.

You have no evidence he “got away” with it.Look, he got away with it and good luck to the lad.
But if you think it's a minor crime in what happened and the lad was under pressure from somebody else you're a fool

I wouldn't bother engaging with him on this mate. I replied to him last week giving him a detailed version of what happened but he still didn't accept it and never will. You have no evidence he “got away” with it.
Everybody in snooker who has commented on his case has backed his side of the story. All you have is your penchant for believing the conspiracy.
He’s more Ivan Toney than Mohammed Amir.
Just trousered half a mill……doesn’t need toFor me if he admitted the charges and served his ban, that’s the end of it. I doubt he’ll be tempted again.
