Champions League Games | Semi Finals | 29/30 April & 6/7 May '25

Hello my Citizen friends!
I've grown to like you a lot since our final.
If i had been english, I would have probably been a City fan ..... but, you can't command your heart, and my team is Inter.

Today was a hectic game! Both teams, Inter and Barcelona, appeared to be very tired .... anything can happen in the return leg.

I hope you can come back stronger than before, and you always remind Man United that they should stop with their traditionally arrogant attitude (in my opinion).
Good luck in the 2nd leg,and in the league.Would love Simeone when Pep leaves us but get the feeling he is Inter for at least 10 more years.Fantastic club and fans was treated really well when making my debut at the San siro vs Lazio last season.

Good morning Sir! Let's hope you can finish the job in the San Siro. I was there in February when you beat Genoa. All the Inter fans made us feel so welcome. Forza Inter!

Watched the match last night at the pub with my son, who is an Inter fan. He was wearing his Inter top. He's not Italian, but French. As he remarked to me, he's having a bad end-of-season. His first club is Olympique Lyonnais. Knocked out by of the Europa League by those jammy bastards, Trafford Park Rangers, and the women downright humiliated by Arsenal Women in the Champions League. And Inter appear to have thrown away the Serie A, having led for much of the season. So everything is on the men's CL. Hope you do it, for you and him. Barca do look very, very good, has to be said. That lad Yamal is an absolute phenomenon. Maybe not Messi-level — not yet.
Anyway, Forza Nerazzurri…

No different to the PL, it's the weakest it being for years
I don't know where I stand with this one, other clubs have said it for years when we have won it, pretty much every time how the premier league isn't as good or as strong as it was, I always seen it as a coping mechanism and I think some blues are doing the same.

The Premier League isn't weak for me. The bottom three, yeah, same with most teams coming up don't really compete and I agree on that front. Which is mad because teams who come up can spend 100m plus as oppose to in years gone by where teams would come up and not have a pot to piss in.

The rest of the league though for me is strong, Liverpool will win it and rightly so, win their last 3 games and they will be on 91 points which is a strong season (who knows what they will pick up now the league is won though) The rest of it is really tight, your Bournemouths, Brightons, Forest have all stepped up, Villa competitive again, even Fuham who sit 11th are a cracking side on their day. The gap has reduced from the bottom 3 I agree but I think the rest of it is as strong as ever. It can't be weak just because nobody challenged Liverpool

Should be a cracking game later.
Agreed. And I give Inter the equivalent of a puncher's chance. They're no mugs; second in Serie A, 3 pts behind Napoli. If they sit back, though, they're fucked. Lewandowski is rumoured to be back tonight. Coupled with Raphinha and Yamal, that's a frightening array of attacking power.

I'm surprised that Sky haven't made a major move to secure the rights to the 3 UEFA club competitions. IIRC, they used to have them. Surely, they have the resources to outbid TNT and Amazon?

Became too unaffordable for them.

Too many other 3rd parties involved now. Back in 90's and 00s, early 2010's, it was only them who could compete for the rights, now multiple firms can compete and want a piece of the pie.

It's either PL or CL now for SKY I think.

Are you saying that they can't compete with either TNT and/or Amazon?

Not to get the amount of PL games they currently have and all the CL games. They couldn't do it without massively raising subscription. It would bankrupt them.

It cost Amazon £450 million just to broadcast 17 CL games a season for 3 years. That's £8.1m a game they have to make back just to break even.

edit, the Amazon deal:

"Amazon signed a three-year deal with UEFA for broadcast rights worth £1.5bn for the Champions League, gaining a pick of games for Tuesday fixtures."
