The Green Party

Should be a short one. Their message is being co-opted by other parties including their basic tenets into their own platforms, so never ever going to reach the level needed for any power, power share or especially critical mass to govern.

What has happened with the post-Brexit fueled Reform Party is historic and rightly deserves some discussion…for good or bad.

People have spoken, and for right or wrong, their message should be listened to.

Unfortunately populist, fear mongering facistic partys like reform will tap into peoples worries and helped by a weak media get more exposure than a party that offers an alternative.

The greens have been marginalised for decades on national level, which is shame for the country, as some of their ideas are better for all.

Not sure if I understand your logic behind this comment?
It's just a general comment on the state of our politics and system.

Proportionally at all levels the vast majority of people who get elected into our institutions are not being elected by any actual majority of people.

That's true but they can only count the numbers that bother to vote. The big losers from PR would be the Tories and Labour and that's why I don't think we'll see it for a long time (if ever). Maybe of we did have PR then more people would turn out and vote?

Since I resigned from the Starmer party, I think i will join the Green party.

Labour is dead, the Greens at least have some Socialist elements.

What i like about the Greens and to an extent Reform (i hate them btw) is that they have stretched the boundaries of the Overton window.

We now have something like this

LEFT ... Communist party ......Greens... ................................(lib dems..labour snp..tories)..........................reform...........Britain first ....RIGHT

That has to be good for democracy and for debate about our future as a nation.

The Greens are the only party engaging in local communities to fight Reform.

The true socialists should really be voting green and although I don't agree with everything they stand for they certainly seem the only option at the moment if you're not a Tory by vote or hidden ideology.

Unfortunately the only Purple and Green you are likely to see round here is a discussion on Wimbledon.

There is a quite low limit to their Socialism:-)
