City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

@matchdaybus. As reported, bus on time which was good but driver took worst route possible & made matters worse by not using the bus lane. Queuing in that traffic cost us a good half hour and we didn’t get to the stadium till 7.30 - a two hour journey.

Overall the service is good but it’s important we bring these issues to your attention & WE DO APPRECIATE YOUR PROMPT RESPONSES.

I was on that bus too. Don’t know if it’s a combination of the bus driver not familiar with the route or a Friday night traffic thing but took much longer than usual.

As CC1 says it’s a great idea for a service, actually taking fans from where they want to go from and too. Its just got the potential to be so better with feedback to yourself.

Took ages to get home last night but that was more down to traffic. Definitely quicker last time I used the shuttle bus.

Depends whether they are technically a bus though. Legally the shuttle buses might be classed as chartered coaches so not allowed to use bus lanes?

A bit like how black cabs can use bus lanes but private taxis can’t.

Bus 14 machine was broke going to the match driver apologises so we only paid one way on the way back, he looked stressed as well as he was late due to traffic, not his fault at all, got us to the match safe and back can’t argue with it.

The M62 westbound is closed between Junctions 19 and 18 (Birch Services) due to a serious RTC. One lane is closed travelling eastbound.

30-minute delays on the M62 westbound from J21 and 55-minute delays on the M60 clockwise J9-18 and onto the M62 eastbound.

Surrounding roads around the closure in the Middleton, Heywood, Oldham and Rochdale areas are congested,
with additional delays being reported in the Salford area due to the M60 congestion.

Expected duration: Investigation work by GMP is in progress and the closure likely to be in place for sometime

Thanks for the feedback! Yes I think we were all a bit stressed last night, the traffic was crazy. Unfortunately, some of these things are out of our control, but I am glad to hear you got to and from the game safe and sound!

I've used bus 15 all season and it's been great. However I may have to drive against Bournemouth if they are still returning 25 minutes after the final whistle as we want to say farewell to King Kev

Hello, we are currently discussing this with supporters clubs to determine the best time, whilst also being conscious it’s a mid week fixture. I’ll get back to you soon with this info.

Instead of the usual 25 minutes after the final whistle, buses will now depart 45 minutes after the final whistle. We hope this gives you a bit more time to soak in the atmosphere, enjoy the last game of the season, and most importantly, give your final farewell to KDB.
