The M62 westbound is closed between Junctions 19 and 18 (Birch Services) due to a serious RTC. One lane is closed travelling eastbound.

30-minute delays on the M62 westbound from J21 and 55-minute delays on the M60 clockwise J9-18 and onto the M62 eastbound.

Surrounding roads around the closure in the Middleton, Heywood, Oldham and Rochdale areas are congested,
with additional delays being reported in the Salford area due to the M60 congestion.

Expected duration: Investigation work by GMP is in progress and the closure likely to be in place for sometime

Hello, we have taken this into consideration and buses will depart 30 minutes after the final whistle for the Bournemouth fixture.

I have indeed but I’ve gone very refined (and old) nowadays. Return trips are OK as they’re quicker and I’ve dehydrated by then. Only did the inbound journey once and after an hour and a half had to abandon ship in Gatley and dive in the bushes…

MC10 is experiencing delays of 30 minutes+ due to the M62 traffic. The operator has sent 2 buses out one to collect fans from Hale and Altrincham and another one to collect fans from Sale west onwards to try get you there sooner. Apologies for the delays tonight

M62 has now reopened, but delays continue.

We provide operators with the timetables prior to the fixtures and they are expected to follow these timetables. The timetables have been set to arrive 1 hour prior to kick off to provide a window of contingency, noting how variable congestion can be for the different kick off times. We are always analysing data from all fixtures and will make amendments to timetables if we feel it necessary.

If an operator arrives at stops to early or to late, TfGM can take appropriate action against the operator in line with our Contract Management Procedure. We will be monitoring this service along with all the others to ensure all supporters travelling on the matchday buses get the level of service they deserve.

On route now and can’t understand why driver doesn’t use empty bus lane??? We’re stuck in traffic but bus lane empty as far as eye can see!!??

More like an hour, there's at least 15 supporters that won't be in their seats tonight because the bus didn't turn up .
Bus No10 Altrincham to the Etihad cherry lane stop.

I’m so sorry! The M62 closure has messed up a lot of routes tonight. We tried to get info out as early as possible to help fans make an informed choice but I appreciate an hour is a long time to be waiting.

@matchdaybus. As reported, bus on time which was good but driver took worst route possible & made matters worse by not using the bus lane. Queuing in that traffic cost us a good half hour and we didn’t get to the stadium till 7.30 - a two hour journey.

Overall the service is good but it’s important we bring these issues to your attention & WE DO APPRECIATE YOUR PROMPT RESPONSES.
