The only reasons to extend KDB's stay at City are sentimental. He will be 34 in June. Having watched the CL semi-finals this season, I want City to compete at that level again, and to do that we have to replace KDB (and a couple of other players as well). Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and do something that is uncomfortable.

But even if not they’re welcome to him.

They’ll have to pay him big wages, he takes up a squad place, he’s clearly over the hill and it means they’re unlikely to be signing Wirtz or Xavi Simons as well.
 
I'd gutted it if he goes to the dippers but who can blame him? It's been made clear we don't want him anymore. They would actually be the perfect team for him to play his attacking role. They have a settled back 4, he'll be surrounded by top class young midfielders who will help to do the closing down and he won't have to run himself into the ground. He needs to play in team that isn't facing a block of 8 every week. It's a horrible thought I know but I can see why they want to sign him. Lets hope Napoli make him a dream offer he can't refuse..very much doubt it though.

Well if we haven't then how do we know for sure that Liverpool have made an offer to De Bruyne. Both reports of interest in a player by the media. If one is true then why not the other? As always, loads of bullshit flying about.
We have said De Bruyne is going. Wherever he goes now is no concern of ours. He will choose what is best for him and his family and rightly so. He will go with my thanks and best wishes.

I said on here weeks ago he’s stubborn when he’s pissed off with a point to prove and being offered a way out from the club he supported as a kid. I hope to god he doesn’t go but I can see this happening
 
Understand why Liverpool would be enticing but why? He's won 6 PLs, an undisputed legend for us and arguably the greatest ever player in our history. Why tarnish that, for what end?
 
If he goes to Liverpool it will help us, even better if it is near his current wages.
 
If Kdb wants to sign for the dippers good luck to him, take them for every penny you can Kev, drain their spare cash for wages. You might not be able to do it on the pitch anymore but what a service you could do for City being injured in that dipper midfield on mega wages !!!!!
