Post = on point.

I wouldn't blame Kev at all if he took up their offer. I would hate it though, but from the fan perspective seems to me he has been given no respect at all by the club in this decision to release him.

He is not the Kev he was playing wise, but he would be great as an impact sub.
£200k a week minimum impact sub?

City need to move on and buy his replacement.

"huge upheaval for his children" he's a footballer earning £350k a week. This isn't John from down the road. His kids won't notice a thing ffs
Money can cushion any upheaval however, moving away will not be without impact, his kids will miss their friends and wider family.

FFS, it always amazes me how little it takes for some of you wet wipes to entirely lose the plot.

If he did join the scousers do you honestly think he's suddenly go back to being prime KdB and play 60 full games for them next season?

Anyway, I thought it was the arse he was joining?

Dear god are we going through this again, i have said it before and i will say it again, people need to see what De Bruyne IS not what he WAS, what he was is one of our greatest ever players what he currently is, is a passenger, bar the palace game his performances in the last few games have been anonymous, his passing is way off, and midfields can just run past him, yes i know he scored against wolves but how often did the game just pass him buy, same as it did against the rags, everton, villa etc etc, sometimes you have to take the blue tinted glasses off and stop being sentimental and realise that for a 40 game season you are going to get maybe 5 good games out of him and we just cannot carry that.

He wanted two years and the club were humming and hahhing, so he took the free to Barca. As it turns out, he’s playing that second year now, and we lost his last great season to them!
Said some nobody on twitter. And people still to this day parrot it like the gospel, which they always do when something is put as a tweet.

Completely ignoring what both the player and the club said.

He wanted to leave. He chose to leave. On a high, at the right time, for a new challenge. He wrote a whole letter about it. Bin the fucking twitter narrative.

Seems everyone is missing the point here. A year older Kev going to Liverpool makes them worse, not better. Much worse. Perhaps this is his final parting gift :)

And I would fully expect even if he comes back to the Etihad and scores a hatrick against us he would still get a standing ovation.

He’s leaving at the bottom not the top.

Maybe they can take Bernie and Gundo whilst they’re at it!
If he is going and has accepted a bit part role where he comes on in games for the last 15 to 20 minutes if they need a bit of quality to get them a win I don’t see how he makes them worse

If title challenging teams in our own league are offering him a contract is it time to admit we made a mistake letting him go?
I disagree. Assuming it is even true.

If he had had the season or even the last two, that he is having for us, for another top club - would we really be thinking lets give him a big contract and a signing on fee?

Not a chance. And the same people calling it a mistake would be arguing we should be signing someone younger and for the future, and not an expensive short term fix.

Not a chance in hell he decides to move somewhere accepting that he'll only play the last 15 or 20 minutes, but only if needed. That's just spouting bollocks in order to try and prove a point.

Kids are adaptable and fickle. They'll make new friends within the first day of moving and forget they're old friends.

Adults basing where they move to on the friends that their very young kids have is ridiculous

He’s said he’d stay at city knowing he wouldn’t be starting every game so it’s hardly bollocks is it

If it's on twitter it's a well known established fact. Everyone knows that.

You'd have thought that given Trump had to create his own platform as even twitter had finally had enough of his "facts" that people would have wised up to not taking anything on social media as "fact". I seriously worry for the future of the human race.

Guy who sits next to me at City bet me a hundred quid a few weeks back that kev was going to Liverpool. I obviously thought it was bullshit so took the bet. He said it was already done back then. This was weeks ago (FWIW!)

It’s clearly a load of made up bollocks.

But even if not they’re welcome to him.

They’ll have to pay him big wages, he takes up a squad place, he’s clearly over the hill and it means they’re unlikely to be signing Wirtz or Xavi Simons as well.
Plus, he always Was - 'just a shit Hendo'!

If lpool do this, they are effectively turning into an old folks home, all damn season we have been lambasted for letting the team get old, keeping players too long etc etc and now the dippers are being smart by signing players well past their best for big money and 2 year contracts, what every city fan has seen this season is when that drop off comes, it comes fast, its not gradual and the dippers banking on van disney and the homeless egyptian fella replicating their early season form is a huge gamble add ANOTHER aging player into that mix and they have an aging spine of the team and will be in exactly the same position which we have been slated for all season.

True, but they might feel very settled in the area as a family. From KDB’s point of view City don’t want him and if Liverpool do it’s probably a no brainer. He owes us fuck all

True but even if he stayed for two more years whats he going to do then, he either retires and bums around Manchester or moves away so his kids will have to go anyway, that’s why if he goes abroad he’d be best going to USA as it woukd be a better family life than Saudi.

Did he? From what I have seen, he has been saying the exact opposite. And using the recent games as an example.

People are also readily assuming he would happily at least halve his wages, but again, he said no such thing.

Think he still feels that when fit, within a top PL team he can provide enough goals & assists in defining moments that can warrant a starting position. He's confirmed that his family is happy and settled in Manchester. If that's how he feels
then playing for Liverpool and staying in NW will
tick some of his boxes. Ake is a good mate so if
Ake remains in NW @ City next season maybe thats another tick?
