Wasn’t he a Liverpool fan growing up? I wouldn’t blame him to go there for a season if he got the offer. He’s stubborn and he’ll want to prove a few people wrong.

If he's not considered to be good enough for City/Pep any more, why would Liverpool/Slot want him? They're not a retirement home.

Kev's days at the very top are clearly over. I doubt very much that he's capable of playing 30+ PL/CL games a season. No 'elite' club is going to spend £300k+ a week on a passenger, and mid-table PL / European clubs haven't got the money.

He was sniffing around Saudi Arabia and America at least 12 months ago... He knows there's one more big payday left and he'll go to whoever offers the most money on the longest contract.

Give him the send-off he deserves and enjoy the memories.

The Liverpool links are utter gash, why would they want him, why can't people see and especially our own fans the guy is finished at the highest level.

If he joins Liverpool, he’s no legend imo and that’s me saying that with my profile name. I think he’s the greatest midfielder to ever play in this country, and our greatest player of all time (by a distance btw) I know some City fans who hate Liverpool more than any club in England, and they are our biggest rivals for the league next season, the fact that there’s genuine rumours that he’d even consider playing for them tells me he’s not the person we all thought he was. Hopefully the rumours are not true.

Does it look to anyone else in these last few games that Kev is out to prove a point? In fact, that he is proving a point. Because to my eye it couldn't be clearer. He's still immensely influential in midfield. He still has an eye for a pass that no-one on the pitch, or indeed in the league, does. We've seen him tracking back and tackling people fiercely.
Problem is, Kev, yes we know you can do all that. But can you stay fit to do it even playing just one in every two games that City are playing during the season?
Anyway, I wish him well, wherever he goes. Well, not the rags.

I’d argue he shouldn’t start again - Aguero’s send off at home to Everton was a substitute appearance. He’s in purely for romance and loyalty, now.

Not good enough anymore and it’s a shame to see.

Definitely should be nowhere near starting next Saturday.

It blows my mind that we’ve decided he’s not good enough to be offered a new contract but he’s playing every week. I love the guy but apart from the odd game, he’s been terrible and his corners…fucking hells bells.
Was surprised Marmoush didn't take over when he came on.

But to be fair, some of his corners were pretty decent. Akanji should have done better with at least two.
