He’s best mates with VVD.
He wouldn’t have to move his family or schools…

In fact if they did offer him the same wage why wouldn’t he? He’s not a City fan like we are.
Sure he was a Liverpool fan as a kid actually.

I’d be gutted if he went there but it’s very unlikely.
He’ll have some belting options on the table.
Let’s hope he just goes to the MLS.
He won’t go there as I doubt they would be interested but I’m also pretty sure he supported Liverpool growing up too. So I very much doubt “he hates scousers”

If Liverpool offered him the best deal of course he would take it. It’s a job

"huge upheaval for his children" he's a footballer earning £350k a week. This isn't John from down the road. His kids won't notice a thing ffs

I'm currently approaching half way of spending a 3 year period working 4 months away (on another continent) 4 months at home. That is what not seeing your kids really is.

Horses for courses and all that, I guess.

Spot on

Don’t understand why a brief return to form justifies a £400k per week salary for a player who might make 20 EPL appearances at best when he will be another year older. Similar for Jack on 300k. Just my opinion.
He’s quite clearly lost his legs as well. Still got unbelievable quality on the ball but he’s past his best. Time to move on. If Liverpool sign him then good luck to him, don’t think there’s anything in the rumours as they won’t shell out for his wages.

Realistically when you're one of the top clubs in the world you are going to have to let players leave who can't quite cut it anymore but will still do a job for 90% of every other team in the world. Kev has me really conflicted - all the other guys that have left it felt like the right time. With Kev it's different because he's Kevin De Bruyne and the kind of player that can power you over the line in tough times. It would be interesting to see what he does at another EPL team just to dispel the doubt I have about it being his time.

Wherever he goes he goes with my thanks and appreciation. He's been outrageously good for City but I think his body is now letting him down. I think his timing has gone. His brain says do something but he now can't get his legs moving quickly enough. It's not his lack of big game moments that have me feeling it is time. It's his short passing game which has me most concerned - so many passes go behind the receiving player as if Kev's seen the pass but has executed it half a second too late so it's behind where the player has moved to. To be fair I think BSilva has the same issue although I think some of his poor passing is the result of carelessness.

It's not always that the pass has been incomplete it is how the receiving player is left once he has received it. When city are at our best every pass is crisp and intentional - it leaves the receiving player moving forward. When we are below our standard the passes go behind or are hit weakly which makes us look slow

Yes absolutely. Using domestic violence to compare to was weird. If you can't see that it says more about you mate
This post bothers me.

1stly, there is just no need for it or for you calling the previous post weird.

2ndly, you've now put on your internet police helmet and have taken offence or umbrage where it absolutly isn't needed or justified.

Why do you lot do this?

Are you after internet points or something?

Because domestic violence is a serious fuckin issue. Someone being paid £350k a week to play football and moving to a rival isn't, you fuckin cretin.

Great post. Bang on.
Kev can't see this but those who try to watch with a clear head can.

It's the micro-reactions that top sportsmen lose which is his growing weak spot. This is why snooker players, F1 drivers, etc can't continue to perform at the top level despite one thinking that age shouldn't matter.

It does.

Kev needs to be careful. If he continues to call out the club on his departure and then does go to a rival, the fanbase will turn on him which would be a sporting tragedy.

I'm sure deep down he know this.

There you go again.
You've now gone on the aggressive/ offensive over absolutely nothing.

You might take a breath and goodle dark humour and learn why it is actually a vital part of the human psyche and why those who use it do so for deeper reasons than you seem capable of understanding.

Or you could just go outside and shout at clouds. :)

Ignore trivia and speculation about football transfers. 99% is nonsense.

There's a reason half the board think you're a whopper mate.

Comparing domestic violence to someone leaving a football team for a rival is ridiculous.

Get over it you absolutely numpty.

If they think like you do, no doubt.

There is no need for your nastiness tbh.
It is disingenuous and unwarranted.

Not that this will bother you. Likely it's what motivates you to post this way.

Carry on.

Yeah, i think it’s the right time for him to go. I’m just saying he’s not chosen to leave us and if he wants to stay in England that’s his prerogative. If the current best team in England come in for him i think he’d be mental to say “Oh, sorry i’d love to play at Anfield in the champions league but it might upset City!”

It’s a short career, City have chosen to bin him and he should just do whatever he thinks best for him during the twilight of a great career.
Have to agree - he's gotta do what's right for him and his family.
Do I want him turning up down the M62 - do I fuck. But not our decision, it's his. The days of "loyalty" are long gone and to think he wouldn't take a big pay day from them lot is a delusion
I think it'd be a huge mistake though as he can't do the PL these days due to the pace and physicality.
