so every final I'v been to,all level 5 at the back, cos its all i can afford, there have been neutrals or, they'v been given back to the club, and people have then after been able to buy cheap tickets.
fucking marvelous

getting more and more removed from this bollocks every year, maybe its my age,
In theory, yes, but they may be City fans who have sourced their tickets this way instead. I got 2 for a friend from the Essex FA for the Stoke final in 2011. Put it this way, they have to choose which end they want the tickets in. It's why we ended up with a 2,000 bigger allocation than united at last years final. The FA tickets were taken in their end whilst a lot of ours got returned to the club.

Thought I was going to miss out this year, remember to delete old accounts ha ha, had my dad in twice and selected wrong one!

It happens every year. Local FA's("The football family") get an allocation of tickets that they can buy. These are located at various price points in a clubs half of the stadium. They offer them to all local FA's and give them a choice of which end.

Any unsold get given back to the clubs to sell which is what this extra allocation is.

Not fully true. As in past finals city always sold all blocks on the trophy lift side (in this case that would be 103 and 104), but last year, as with this year, nothing in those blocks other than front 3 rows went onsale to people on day one, or day two of selling. They were all greyed out. I was day one sales, i always used to get those seats, instead i got forced into 105 in the corner. Yet today, suddenly this afternoon, 103 and 104 go on sale along the length of the pitch.

Yes the FA have some, but not entire blocks by the trophy, taking the whole way to the corner flag.
They will have had some in those blocks, the rest either get held back by city for reasons only known to them or are what are offered to family and staff and agencies and then get put on sale when those people have had their pick (but i find it totally unfair to those on cup schemes and high points who get in on day one, only for people who are cityzens members to technically get the "best" seats (and yes, best is all a matter of opinion, but on level one those blocks *are* the best).

I had hoped city learnt from last years final and for once had everything they had available on day one, but 102, 103, 104 were not there, only 105 was there. And yes the padded seats either side of the dugouts i don't count, i'm not on about them.

Anyway, speech over. It just bugs me. I know the same mess happened with the cheaper seats up top. I just wish they had it all onsale on day one. To hold back entire blocks on the lower tier the length of the pitch - didn't happen in 2011, 2013, 2019, or even 2023. Just happened last year and this year when they suddenly "found them" after cup scheme and season ticket holders had bought theirs. They're not "all fa returns". They're staff, family, agencies, and the like - and without sounding whiny it's not fair that those blocks are greyed out for the first 2 and a half days of sale then pooooof there they are.

Strop over, off to bed, early night don't feel well!

Mad the cost of the tickets, literally just pricing loyal fans out from seeing their team in a cup final.

On the verge of buying two 75ers for me and the old man now they’ve appeared but not sure I can stomach it, knocks me sick how we’re taken advantage of.

I know w needed away stubs for Wembley 1999, but I thought the points were introduced when we moved in 2003.
I might well be wrong though.
Just looked at my ticketing account and I’ve got points from 2002.
Strangely, my first entry is 20 points for Rock/pop July 2002!

Edit. It’s got rock/pop next to loads of games for some reason but definitely got points at Maine road.

A lot will spunk £500 for this day.
More then my season ticket…

City's 3rd consecutive FA Cup Final (a club first) as we bid to win our 8th FA Cup - 121 years on from our first win staged at the Crystal Palace in 1904.

Victory would see City become the joint 3rd most successful side in the history of the competition.

This final may also see the return of a certain kit to Wembley stadium...

Your right we did mate, I will always remember the stub you needed was QQ (the league matches were numbers, but away matches were via stubs with letters at the back of your ST book).

I got 2 extra tickets for the Play Off final by writing in biro an extra Q (on the single Q stub) in mine and my dads ST books! I got the day off school to join the que for them tickets at the corner of the Kippax and Plat Lane at 6am!

Our ticketing has never been great has it?

It might be my memory playing tricks with me but I thought it was home ticket stubs you needed for the playoff final if you weren't a season ticket holder. I had a season ticket so didn't need them but I remember searching for any home stubs I had from cup matches to help my mate get a ticket. I think you could get an extra ticket for every 4 stubs you presented.

Paying for 2 adult kids it’ll be £1200 plus for me :(

Christ. That seems like mad money to me. But if it's worth it to you, and you can pay it, then I say good luck to you (hope your kids appreciate it, by the way). As people always say about players we bring in — if the club paid a hundred million for Jack, then he was worth a hundred million to us, and there's an end to it.
