Away fans / tourists in home sections

This is happening at all top English grounds, because the greedy clubs are touting out the tickets to all comers via agencies. City and Utd have both blatantly lied about it, trying to blame fans for selling tickets on, but we constantly see tickets put on the club’s exchange touted out to away fans.
Where are the Police in this? If there is repeated violence at a pub it gets closed down. Why not warn football clubs that if they continue to deliberately compromise segregation for profit, they will stopped from hosting games by the authorities. There is a national Police lead for football, Mark Roberts, a blue apparently, shouldn’t he and others in authority be stepping in to stop profit being put before safety.

Also saw a video from the swamp last night where a bilbao fan was say in the home end with his bilbao shirt openly on display. He did get booted by the stewards but a rag fan pointed out very clearly to them that they didn't do that against rangers.

Bilbao fans probably understood English better than the Scottish fans so were easier to shift ;-)

It’s going to take either a serious injury or a death before anything is done about it. There’s too much money being made.

They left the Rangers fans to it as there were that many of them. Rather different than ejecting individuals.

Really is pathetic that people think it is ok turning up to games in the home end in opposition colours though. Saw some **** with a Liverpool hat on a few weeks ago- can't remember who we were playing now but it wasn't them.

They left Galatasary fans too the season before this, just too many of them,a bit like celtic at ours a few years ago.

Yes, I did actually. Was only about 15 at the time. Four of us in the home end. I'm in the background of a few pictures including the Kennedy goal.

Blackburn aren't exactly known for their full attendances so there was always a likelihood there'd be blues in their end. The sheer scale of it though I think took everybody by surprise.

I feel home supporters in a sell out away section is completely different to getting into a ground that barely ever reaches capacity.

We were pretty much everybody's second favourite team at the time too and don't think many would begrudge us our day. The dippers on the other hand haven't exactly struggled by any normal supporters metrics. Still been picking up trophies fairly regularly and are probably the most despised fanbase in the country.

If I remember rightly, Blackburn fans needed two ticket stubs from previous home games that season to buy a ticket for the match, which makes it all the more remarkable we had so many in the home end.

I was outed as a tourist at a recent home match. Because I was sat in a seat vacated by a Season ticket holder.
I didn't take the bait.
Over 60 years attending, at least 30 as a Season ticket holder. I spend time in Spain during the Winter, so a Season ticket is not appropriate. Though I would agree that people spending the entire Winter in Britain are Saints.
I went to the Semi,, and I am going to the final.
Some people need to be a little careful when "Tourist identifying "

Some people need to stop not understanding that what annoys people is a TOURIST jumping up and down when our opponents score. When you see rows of tourists sat together when local blues can't even sit together then that is also fucking frustrating.

Fuck me, it isn't hard.

It was Brighton.
The 4 were sat directly behind me.
Blackley born and bred. Escaped in my 20s, I am not a shrinking violet, but Mrs Asa was sat with me. I moved for the 2nd half, and sat next to a lad who had a great knowledge of the game and could appreciate the opposition on the day.
And having a bolthole in Murcia is the best decision I ever made
