Florian Wirtz

But the board haven't given him the players he wanted. He's made do with what he's been given. He wanted Bellingham, he got Nunes. Pep's made these players into players capable of winning things. No one else could do what Pep has done with this squad of players
bellingham never wanted to come to manchester city and what about the board wanting to do a rebuild last summer but pep said no is that pep no people blame the board for that like i said winning is about everyone doing there job right not just down to one person

Bayern are idiots. Spend all this money on Wirtz when their defence needs a full rebuild.

I’m noticing a trend all these elite clubs not sorting their defences out. Mbappe signed last summer when Madrid were desperate for defenders.

Do you actually expect a non-German outlet to break the biggest transfer in Bundesliga history? Mate, seriously?
Yes, other sources will likely confirm the report if true. We will hear from someone like Gaughan stating we are moving on.

I think it's a bit entitled and unrealistic to be complaining about the board missing out on Bellingham to Real Madrid and possibly Wirtz to Bayern. For each of these they are THE standout BEST prospect in their position. Every manager wants them. If they have a personal preference to go elsewhere that isn't because of a failing by Txiki, that's just life sometimes.

Phillips on the other hand, wtf. Nunes I see it and think he'll be solid for us in the long term.

Bellingham was just an example, Van Dijk is another, Kane is another. Ruben Dias was our 3rd or 4th choice centre half. The list goes on

Pep didn't know he was going to be signing a new contract until late last year so I doubt the board would have wanted to spend anything. Especially with Txiki announcing he was leaving at the end of the season. This summer, we'll see some significant change and I still reckon Wirtz could be coming.

It's not entitled to want us to sign the best players and not have to rely on the genius of our manager to pull us out of the shit every season. At least give him a chance. The time we seriously invested in the squad in one summer with the players Pep wanted, we went on to get 100 points and followed it up with the domestic quadruple

pep has literally said with his own mouth the board wanted to buy players he said no i think i can get another year out of them players he has got and yeah not many clubs get there first choice targets didn't get van diyk signed laporte and look at dias signing won 4 league titles in a row treble not getting your first choice isn't a bad thing yes signing phillips was a bad move but tell me a club that hasn't made bad signings

But again, that's relying on Pep's genius, it wasn't brilliant planning by the board. The time we seriously invested in the squad in one summer with the players Pep wanted, we went on to get 100 points and followed it up with the domestic quadruple

The funny thing is, that attack won’t even work — Musiala, Wirtz, Olise, and Kane simply isn’t an elite attack and won’t win them the Champions League. It’s not better than ours, and it’s certainly not better than Real Madrid’s, let alone Barcelona’s.

It's my view, and I know others don't necessarily share it, that if you pool all of the players we allegedly wanted, you will find a litany of failed transfer targets, but the reality is that nobody truly knows if we actually wanted those players or not. In the social-media age, dead-air is not allowed, so these transfer gurus create news and speculation for clicks and likes. You can look at ANY club, and see a list of failures based on who various transfer hacks said they were buying.

Doesn’t work that way

I want to be richest person in the world doesn’t mean it has to happen

Bellingham wanted Madrid and he got it same goes for Writz

You people act as if Pep’s best friend is forcing players on Pep and he has no say

If you think that pep didn’t approve signing of Nunes or Phillips then you are wrong and not paying attention

People acting as if City has first right on all players and everyone has to join us

I'm not saying anything of the sort. But no one other that Pep would have won us the league over the last 3 seasons, especially the last two. Pep has a massive say in the transfers but ultimately he reports into Soriano & Khaldoon who will have the final say.

I'm not saying that they all would have worked out, we've done pretty well without them haven't we? And all that is because of Pep, no one else

there is no denying pep is the best manger in the world and yes we wouldn't of had the success we have had with out him but that's not all down to him the board have done an amazing job as well if it wasn't for this board pep wouldn't of stayed for 10 years so surely they have done something right
