If thats the rebuild we are going to be in another battle for top 4 - if the club want to stay where they have worked hard to get to we need midfielders

Walker is pretty much gone..
Grealish is also out the door if rumours are believed to be true
KDB gone

Thats 3 very big wage packets off the books

Then there is Peps comments about players who cant play regularlt - that was a eve na subtle hint towards Ake and Stones - one of them needs to be sold

Creativity in midfield is essential....if its not Wirtz it needs to be someone else...our wingers arent great at either goal scoring or creating (though I rate Doku more that Sav at present)

Think that's a bitt ott I think we could do with adding some more goals be it from midfield or out wide. But I see a first choice team of

Going very close to winning the league we would still have squad players like ake stones khusanov reis nunes oreilly rico gundo bernie kovacic Everechi bobb savinho ortega + 1 more attacking midfielder who can play Central or out wide. That's just my opinion tho.
 
Got to admit, and sounds a like hindsight-y, but I’d rather us sort out defensive and legs in midfield before a Kev replacement.

An attacking midfielder would be the perfect finish to a window in where we get a new fullback(s) and a couple of midfielders who are energetic and combative.

we would have buyers for Kova no problem. It is the other we need to get rid off. We should keep Ake.
 
does anyone watch a lot of bundesliga and know what Romano Schmid is like

Not really

Look at the 11 you have put up and where is the creativity?

Foden is a goal scoring 10 - always has been and thats his greatest strength...yes he can create but he aint consistent and itsnot his game
Rodri and Gonzales - very solid base - Rodri can add assists but again not in great number.
Marmoush is a goal scorer and a good one.....but aint really shown great creatvity...
Doku - love the guy...he could become very important

But losing KDB and not adding a replacement or two is crazy - its nieve at the very lease to think otherwise.....
And where in the squad are we getting other creatvity besides Sav who at present is hit and miss?

It aint coming from MGW who plays in a team who play on the break and not against 10 man defences camped on the 18yd box like we face most weeks

what about if we went and got attacking full backs to provide the width that have creativity and got the goals scorers closer to the goal

maybe but pep will have to change the way he plays and sets up to do so.

None of our fullback options fit this at present and they become redundant if we change....we suddently have a lot of centre backs for only 2 positions whereas we have been using them as fullbacks

it does feel that's the way pep's gone in this run we are on both o’reilly and nunes high and wide so could be an option going forward

It's all about finding a different way to play you only have to look at psg now no messi neymar or mbappe their team on paper u would say lacks creativity but they are 10x better than they were.
