What I care about is no-one having an ankle turned, a leg broken, their hammy done, ACL, thus putting them out for most/all of the coming season.

not bothered about the tournament but the final is on my 30th birthday so would be a nice present to see us lift the trophy

Performances no longer matter just results. Southampton will give it a go, we just have to be better and don’t give the home crowd anything to latch on to. I have some awful memories of matches at the Dell and a few at st Mary’s. They will be desperate for even a point to beat Derby’s record low tally (I haven’t forgotten Derby took a point from us that season).

We’ve been better in recent weeks, certainly defensively, need to keep that momentum ahead of the cup final. Win tomorrow and we’re almost there on the champions league.

We really should be winning this so hopefully we have a good day out tomorrow.

I don't think we have been better defensively in recent weeks, certainly luckier as the hit woodwork statistics indicate over our last few games. Any of those attempts go in and the outcome would probably have been different!
Hope our lucky streak continues till the end of the season !

Whilst I get the sentiment, fuck it I’m game for it.

All the bad parts happens whether we get involved or not.

It’s the worlds! Only happens every 4 years.

When we have 30% off PL teams qualifying for CL each season, this is by far the hardest comp to qualify.

The 2 teams in the CL final are World Club Club’s.

All the best players want to play for a World Club Cup.

Get onboard and wind up the rest.

I definitely hope we are there in 2029 too, as it is a barometer of success.

If Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal were in this Competition there would be a Different Spin on it from the Media
